We were so excited for weekend holiday in the country. We take 1-2 weekend trips per month and love high end resorts FS Seattle, Fairmont, Alderbrook, and Suncadia. The George Washington inn was far less expensive and boy the statement " you get what you pay for "runs true. First complaint, the smell! A nursing home stench everywhere. We purchased...

A review such as this is very disheartening to B&B owners who make every possible effort to assure the complete satisfaction of every guest. It is also extremely hurtful to a housekeeping staff who work tirelessly every day to make the rooms immaculate and comfortable. In this review we have been accused of saying things we did not say and...

What a PERFECT place to stay for several days and evenings! As we drove towards the Inn from Port Angeles, it looms in the Horizon and gets bigger and bigger the closer you get. Dan and Janet did a wonderful job in replicating George Washington’s Mt Vernon home. As you roll down the driveway, the first stop is the Lavender...

Tranquil, relaxing, First Class. We stayed two nights in the Surveyor Room - Nearly Perfect. Great rural location next to the water, 5 minutes from town. Good size room, great bed, nice small couch, big bathroom with a large Jacuzzi and a separate nice shower. Thoroughly enjoyed the balcony, the common areas, the sun room, and the grounds. We had...

Great one night stay at this beautiful B&B while visiting Olympic National Park. Grounds, breakfast (baked omelet and delicious blueberry scones), and jacuzzi tub in the room were highlights. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back eventually for a longer stay.

Dan and Janet are host and hostess that are comparable to none..the "Best ".. the Inn is spectacular! ! The views, are awesome. The peace and quiet is unbelievable! Breakfast was a delight! We felt like we actually stayed at Mount Vernon. . Rooms were very large with special attention to little details.

Pros: 1. Incredible view 2. Beautiful grounds and architecture 3. Convenient base for exploring Olympic National Park (Long haul to Rainforest but manageable. We did Rainforest and Rialto Beach in same day). 4. Very pleasant and interesting hosts 5. Large rooms Cons: 1. The shower/tub combo in the General Washington suite is not ideal. Dispensing with the jacuzzi tub and...

The highest recommendation I can give a place is to say, "I want to go back!" which is exactly how I feel about the lovely George Washington Inn. This is a grand house with doors that open wide with grace, beauty and hospitality. Excellence shines in everything Dan and Janet do in their service to their guests. It is the...

The SHOWER LOCATED IN THE TUB OF THE GENERAL'S SUITE was not able to be used by the two of us in the four days stay. I did try it one time. The tub floor was not flat. It had raised areas for sitting and one foot had to be put beside the drain, especially when there was soap on...

We value feedback from our guests. It should be noted that this guest was offered the option to move to a different room but preferred to remain in the General Washington Suite. However, in response to the concerns addressed in this review, we are researching the possibility of adding a separate shower in this bathroom. The room description will be...

This is our 4th visit with Dan and Janet. We look forward to going back every year. Its a special treat we give ourselves to just relax and enjoy a spectacular part of Washington State; with Hurricane Ridge, than just a short drive to Crescent Lake Lodge for lunch. We will definitely be back next year.

Relax with a view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca from you bedroom window, Walk the lavender fields, or hike the Olympic national park it's all right there. We were here during the northwest colonial festival. It's a fun way to learn our history. This is a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful location.
