Absolute excellent hostel!!! Clean, chilled and very nice! The beds are comfy and have a curtain to pull across for some privacy in the dorm rooms. It definitely makes the difference! Staff are very friendly! Always running around to help guests. The WiFi is free and very fast! There are multiple laundry rooms, bathrooms, toilets and kitchens around the place....

I only stayed 1 night here but the value for money was exceptional. It has all the things I like about a hostel plus more. Free wifi, each bed has 2 power points and a light, free breakfast with options, a spa pool, and soup at night. Not powdered soup but with real veges! Staff were nice. The bathroom/toilet area...

Nice place to stay for a night, standard price. 34 bucks for a bed in 4 shared room. Good breakfast included from 7 to 9. Unfortunately the day I stayed the Maori lady who work there overslept and opened breakfast at 8 and instead of apologies was very rude with the guests. I won't recommend the place.

We stayed here in room 23 (double en-suite above the very narrow car drive through, so granted one of their more expensive ones) for 2 nights and it was great. The room was nice and clean and there was even chocolates on the pillows when we arrived. The lady who checked us in (I am so sorry I have forgotten...

Absolutely worst experience in NZ so far. Dirty, cold (it is still summer in march btw) and just not cozy at all. Staff is friendly and they serve included breakfast in the morning which is the only positive thing about this place. If you have an other option don't go there.

Good value for money hostel with super friendly and enthusiastic staff. Very helpful when we had issues sorting out credit cards. Free breakfast which is always a bonus. Parking onsite which was good for us with a car. Quite a roomy kitchen with everything we needed in it, dining room perhaps a little small. The rooms were clean and beds...

Stayed two nights in a motel room - basic but clean with fridge and microwave. Parking close by and helpful and friendly staff. Free veg soup and breakfast a bonus. I dont understand any of the complaints especially at this price in this prime tourist location. Thankyou

I'll begin with a quote from my partner, "Irrespective of the lousy weather, the view from our room is the crappiest we've come across in Australia or New Zealand." At first glance as you drive into Cron Street, Sir Cedrics looks vaguely quaint and it was only £30 per person per night with a sort of en-suite facility. Our reception...

We spent one night in this motel on Christmas Day and it was terrible. There was a party until 2am and the bed was uncomfortable so we didn't sleep very well. We explained it to the person at the office but she didn't care. Avoid this place if you can.

Château Backpacker & Motels, Kaiser Franz Josef Is one of the best motels I have ever been! The owner is super friendly and more than helpful (he helped us to stay in one room even it was fully booked, moreover he helped me to arrange a call back home to my granny , big thanks for that!) ! The whole...
