After travelling for many hours and getting quite lost, we stumbled upon Walton Park Motor Lodge late at night. The hosts were more than helpful and friendly after a tiring and hard day for us. They made every attempt to be welcoming and hospitable and found us a room despite it being a busy evening for them. We ate at...

Facilities are tired, minimalist, and not cheap for the price. Standard varied from room to room - check first! Radio did not work, some lights not working, dangerous doorstep at entry. No cooking facilities apart from tiny microwave. Staff were very helpful however.

The service was excellent - we were going to arrive late and the staff had put key in room, put a light on ready for our arrival. They also kept the office open until we arrived as they had no vacancy and we needed to park at the back. The room was clean and tidy. It had recently been painted...

I was appalled at the state of the flat we were in for the price we paid. Perhaps if it were $100 cheaper per night??? There are massive structural cracks on the exterior of the building, inside was dated and old. I even stripped the beds back to check that they were clean, (they were clean as was everything else),...

Found this by accident and it was a life saver. Had had a long drive and this was just off the main road up to the north. Owner Vicky gave us a great room and we ate in the restaurant. Great food, staff friendly. Owners have just taken over 18 months ago and really making a go, bar refurbished. Dan's...

The lodge, when we stayed, was in the middle of a major up-date by the new owners. The place is easy to find just off a busy junction, The rooms were adequate for a short stay and ours was freshly painted. The restaurant was being refitted and food was taken in bar, which was tastefully decorated in a modern style,...

My partner and I stayed on a Friday evening hoping for a somewhat chilled romantic evening out and a nice place to stay afterwards. Everything was relitively average from the not knowing where the room key was on our arrival to the only being supplied with one pillow each and towels that you could easily spit through. But the thing...

We called in here a couple of weeks ago in view of staying a few nights and exploring the area. We were met by puddles of vomit , left from the previous night on the paths and driveway at 3 in the afternoon. My wife felt intimidated by the people hanging leering over the deck handrails with beer in their...

I was here recently and my very first impression with seeing an empty beer mug and bottle sitting on the entrance way lawn was that things may not be good. It continued with having to wait a good 10 minutes to get anyone to answer the office bell while I stood at the counter and then eventually having to walk...

We booked last minute after finding no accommodation in our desired location. The owner was friendly and helpful. The staff were busy preparing for the opening of a bar & restaurant the following day so there were many workmen and equipment about. This didn't bother us at all as we were pleased to find an affordable motel for our family....
