Stayed here for three nights over Christmas. Positives: Location is the best! It is nice to be down at the quiet end of the beach. You are not bothered by the constant late night beat you would hear if you were closer to town. Very nice staff, especially Johnnie the bartender (who make some of the best bloody marys and...

My partner and I booked Baja Montanita as it was the last part of our trip to Ecuador and we wanted to 'treat ourselves' to a nice, private room so we paid a little more. After a very long travel day of getting to Montanita, we were extremely disappointed when we got to our room. We were put in Room...

We got a two Bedroom unit with one bathroom and a balcony overlooking the beach. View was great but room was sparsely furnished with bed, night stand and closet unit with drawers beneath. Bathroom had a leaky toilet and sink didn't drain and not very clean. There was a musty smell so they sprayed something to make it a little...

Baja Montanita borders on a luxury hotel. I was in the Royal Suite which is a huge room with new finishes and furnishings. Also an extra large bathroom. Great towels. Room needs a safe. Great balcony overlooking the pool and the beach. The bar was great... happy hour cocktails were well poured and good sized. I had a very HAPPY...

This is by far the best place to stay in Montanita. It has the best location (right on the point) and away from the noisy town. The rooms are very clean and all have air conditioning. The hotel has a pool, lounge chairs on the sand, out door bathrooms and showers. The two bartenders are the best in town and...

Let me start by saying there is nothing wrong with this hotel. Clean rooms, clean grounds, friendly staff ok food. The problem is, this hotel charges a premium. One of the more expensive ones along the beach. The room was big enough for a bed. Not much more. There was no place to put luggage on. Had to be on...

Had a one night stay whilst on the way to Salinas. Very pleasant room albeit somewhat basic by UK standards. All staff very welcoming - nice food too. Location right by the beach - busy night life in town with backpackers everywhere enjoying themselves. Wish I could have stayed a little longer. Many thanks to all who looked after us...

We planned a family getaway and the location of the Hotel Baja Montana was great, at a quiet location at the end of the beach. We had booked 3 rooms and all were ready when we checked in. The staff were friendly and showed us to our rooms. The rooms are basic which was fine but we were not there...

We visit the hotel once a month for the past few months, because of the absolutely perfect location. We love Montañita but would not dare to stay in the center with all the noise and heavy party at night, so Baja Montañita is absolutely in the right place. However the rooms are in serious need of improvement, specially the bathroom...

Thank you Marco and Staff. The hotel is just amazing, located at the end of the beach away from everyone. Chef was amazing, Pizza place located on hotel grounds is best I've had outside of Italy. I definitely highly recommend staying at the Baja Montanita, You will not believe you are in Montanita. 5 Star Hotel all the way as...
