Best value traveler's hostel we found on our trip! The breakfast is delicious, fresh, and filling. Endless coffee -- any time of day -- puts this accommodation right up near the top! Our hosts were very friendly and really went out of their way for...More
Absolutely loved staying here for the weekend- the rooms are clean and spacious with attached bathrooms. Prices are very reasonable and include a delicious breakfast every morning. There are 3 or more buses per day directly to Mindo center from Ophelia bus station in the north of Quito. However I would recommend taking the ecovia (25 cents) which travels from the old town along 6 decembre to Rio Coco station, transfering to the large northstation (terreste norte) in Carcelen, and taking any bus going to the coast that will stop at top of hill near Mindo. Then take a taxi into town. There is always a bus leaving along this route with minimal wait, no worries about advance purchases or schedule, quick and easy.
