Fairmont Maui staffer Kendra made this stay exceptional. If you own a hotel you should experience the customer service Kendra gives at check-in. She truly made the difference for us. One in a million. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are large, it’s an excellent hotel.
My family of four loved our stay at Fairmont Kea Lani. We originally booked a Deluxe Ocean view suite through Amex platinum and when we arrived were upgraded to the Signature Suite, we then decided to pay for an upgrade to a villa and it was the best choice we could have made. The villas are beautiful and huge, we had two bedrooms each with their own massive bathrooms, a kitchen and small plunge pool. The villas also included valet parking and free breakfast, which would have cost of over $200 a day. The service at the Fairmont is amazing, very attentive and friendly, I often got texts during our stay checking in to see if there was anything we needed. Since we stayed during Covid not all the restaurants were open but we were still able to get food poolside which was a big plus. The beach was great and we were able to see the whales everyday from our villa or when sitting by the pool. We enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning in the future.…
With all of the COVID craziness, we were going a little crazy in Seattle. We got a deal on airfare and jumped at the opportunity to go to Maui. When we arrived at the Fairmont we were warmly greeted by the staff. In addition to being consummate professionals, all of the staff were practicing all the safety measures required to deal with COVID. We felt safe and welcome. We had an ocean view room. What a room and what a view. First the room. The room had a cozy bed that made getting up difficult. The bathroom had a great shower (so much pressure) and soaps and shower gels that my wife really liked. Now the view. It's Maui so the views are pretty spectacular but our view was crazy. The first couple of days we had a little rain so we weren't venturing too far but we didn't have to. On the first day my wife started shouting in excitement, "Come quickly, the whales are breaching!" We spent the afternoon with a little bit of rain watching whales right from out deck. It was spectacular. The weather cleared up for the rest of our trip so we took a bunch of day trips but we were always ready to come back and enjoy our amazing room and watch the whales. If you are looking for a break, I can't recommend the Fairmont Kea Lani enough!…
Our stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani was absolutely perfect! The resort was beautiful and the staff were wonderful! Everything from the pools, the gym and all the restaurants were excellent! Our family had a fantastic experience!
I wish there were more stars to give this amazing hotel. I have been coming to the Kea Lani since the late 90’s when I was in my 20s. Having traveled to 30+ countries, in 5 star travel/lodging, and, admittedly, being a bit high maintenance with high expectations, I couldn’t rave more about the Fairmont Kea Lani. We stayed here for a week prior to Christmas (Me, my wife, and 3 boys, 15, 12, 10). Maui was at @ 25% capacity, which meant all hotels were working with a streamlined team. But the Kea Lani staff over performed. The grounds were spotless/gorgeous. Nick’s seafood restaurant is like a fine wine, getting better with time. My little guy loved the tiki torch ceremony at sunset. We all enjoyed the pool slide, watching whales frolic from our suite. And the beach was immaculate. The best part was the fun conversations and banter with the kindest staff on Maui. And remember, this is an all suite hotel. So, there is plenty of room for your entire family. Suite was updates, gorgeous upholstery, beddings, everything. Every day we would walk down to the beach and the staff remembered our name and room # and started setting up our chairs and umbrellas. 2 of my sons signed up for scuba diving and went right off the beach around the rock formation with one of the Kea Lani’s expert staff. Our whole family ate a couple of times at Nick’s Seafood. My 3rd decade there and the food and service is better than ever. It’s fun to see staff that have transcended the decades and love what they do. The Kea Lani has a lot of room to move around, unlike the other hotels along the most gorgeous beach path in Wailea. Case in point, there are several acres of lush Bermuda grass right in front of the beach. My boys and I played frisbee, thew the football and brought our baseball gloves and played catch, all while my wife sipped wine on a lounge chair during sunset. Here is an example of how the staff went over and beyond even amazing service. I shared with the staff that a Christmas present for my wife was 5 days late in arriving and would arrive on the 23rd (we checked out the 22nd). Were going on to Lahaina about 40 minutes away. Danny and Greg at the bell stand – both whom have been there for decades told me not to worry about it. Even one of their top executives, Mr. Smart contacted me and let me know that they would get the package to me. On the 23rd, the package was intercepted from the shipping department and brought to the bell desk where Greg put it in a cab, and 40 minutes later it was in my hands in Lahaina. Thank you Mr. Smart, Greg, Danny. I had a happy wife on Christmas morning. Great Hospitality– when done right is magical. I have already told this amazing story a dozen times. It was a magical experience for me, my wife, and 3 boys. Having stayed in the best hotels in the world and all the resorts along the walking path in Wailea, I would choose the Kea Lani hands down over the rest. I can’t wait until next year. C Cook…
