If you’re looking to recharge and reset from city life. Four Seasons Wailea is hands down the best. The hotel, the staff, the food and the excellent service was 5 star. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach. Four Seasons had numerous activities going on daily that was fun. Cool art pieces and sculptures decor it almost felt like I was in an art museum. Just awesome hands down.
I am here now and we are supposed to stay two more nights but after sitting in the room in the rain looking at our view of Other balcony’s for $1,800 A night going to a rainy luau soaked, our charter fishing boat got canceled. Yesterday we went to an amazing lunch at Mamas fish house, but could not go on helicopter ride closed because of rain road to Hana was closed as well so back to the room to finish the 3rd book. I can only drink so many poorly made $20 piña coladas here. I was looking forward to them but got the one I was looking for at Mamas! Spoke with the hotel about getting a refund and they said sorry it was booked through third party yes American Express. Who also tried to call them and they refused to be understanding and reduce the pain. Then I spoke with a blonde manager that said with a smirk on her face sorry we went through a third party and unfortunately couldn’t refund. When I told her American Express tried calling asking if they would give us a refund she said no it’s their policy the last two days no refund sorry. Wow thanks! Horrible vacation and trust me you don’t want to go in January and take a chance on no sun! H. Smith…
While we usually vacation in the Caribbean (staying in 5-star hotels), we wanted to check out Hawaii this year, so this was a first visit to Maui and the Four Seasons. We were thrilled to be in such a nice location on a beautiful property and with amazing staff. Everything about our stay was perfect. We had no problem getting chairs at any of the pools (though did rent an oceanside sanctuary one day - well worth it!) It was busy but never felt overwhelming as it's a big property. So many of the staff members went out of their way with requests and we especially enjoyed the pool and lobby bar staff who were very accommodating. We'll be back!
I love the show White Lotus and it was just like the in movie (except the dramatic plot line)! Decided to stay here for a romantic getaway for a week and everything was lovely! The entryway and pool were gorgeous, rooms were great as well. Highly recommend!
I want to start by saying we love this resort. It was our fourth trip in three years. Its beautiful, the rooms are stunning, the service impeccable. However, the prices have doubled since 2021and the hotel is packed due to mainly the White Lotus notoriety. This is just an update for those that already love the resort. There are now tourists everywhere, taking photos to post which takes away from the small private feel. There are a huge amount of kids now, all at the main pool screaming and running around which takes away from the quiet. The adult pool is very hard to sit at, you must be there at 7am to get a chair. The kids pool is almost empty because they are all at the main pool, mostly watched by nannies. The lobby bar which we usually went to every night, was crowded and hard to get a seat. …
The resort staff is the best I’ve ever encountered at a Four Seasons. The Duo staff… Deanna, Volt , Dieau (sp?), Javier in Ferraros are the best. They always welcomed us by name and were very catering to our children. The Ferraros manager Oscar was the best. He was very hospitable. The resort is beautiful with all the amenities so no need to even leave the resort.
The hotel is alright. Although the gym is very old, it’s also very complete. The spa is pretty nice and the therapists are very good. The rooms are okay and Maui is a pretty nice island. Nevertheless, the hotel is still not at the level of a four seasons. It’s very old, and the hotel has almost no beach front. The hotel is however extremely expensive. It costs way more than almost all luxury resorts, and the price is certainly not worth it. Four seasons or Rosewoods in the Caribbean and Cabo are much nicer, modern, and in nature. Meanwhile, a 4-room Villa in the Rosewood Mayakoba in Mexico costs almost the same of what a suite with a connecting room costs in this 1914 hotel. Certainly do not stay here if you want a beautiful beach experience unless prices are amazing.
What can one say about a place that strives to have you relax and enjoy yourself when you often don't even know what you need to accomplish that? This place will force you into that space and you'll be happy for it! They have put much thought into what makes guests happy and it shows. I have been back a number of times with my family and it always seems to get better and better! This is a hotel that strives for that, rest assured.
Wonderful stay! Did not want to leave. Great service and strong drinks. They have thought of everything. Great beach and location. Relaxing stay and everything you need at your fingertips. They have something for everyone.
My family has been coming here for a while. Beautiful property leaves a lasting image that never gets old. Service still remains top notch and unparalleled - you can feel the personal touch and attention to detail everywhere you go. Minor critique: 1) rooms could use an update; 2) the new cabana policy should be revisited - what used to be one of the highlights of the resort (complimentary to all hotel guests) has been tainted in recent years by many of them being paid/ reservation only which leaves fewer complimentary cabanas available to other guests. Despite these minor negatives, FS Maui still remains our favourite go-to spot for a ‘home away from home’ experience.
