Jagua Hotel is located on a stunning peninsula surrounded by water and gorgeous views of the Caribean Sea. Its lobby is bright, airy and pleasant with plenty of green vegetation and colorful Cuban art on display. I stayed on the 8th floor and was marveled with the views from the open hallways and then from the balcony when I stepped...

Booked as a back up by Kuoni due to availability in another resort. This place is shocking, old, dirty, noisy. The pictures tell the story. The room really was filthy and I've seen better showers in Sunday football changing rooms. I stayed at Butlins two weeks before and the room was better! DO NOT stay here!

The rooms are pathetic. No washcloths, hand towels, or bathmat. Dim 1940's type lights. Warped sliding closet doors which took a lot of muscle to slide. No tissues and few toiletries. The shower hardware looks new but the clamp to the sprayer broke off so the sprayer just dangled. (Another couple had the same issue). Since the only way to...

Should have been staying in La Union hotel in town but 'overbooked'. Sent to this hotel. First impressions in reception area OK and restaurant buffet was reasonable with good service. However rooms a disaster. Damp patches, cracked tiles, old furniture, dirty and no remote control for tv was a minor irritation. All 5 rooms for our party were similar. Glad...

This hotel needs to be demolished and rebuilt. The rooms are in atrocious disrepair. When we turned on the faucet in the bathroom, the water went straight to the floor and flooded the entire room. We had to switch rooms. The towels smelled like mold and excrement. The shower was full of mold and leaked. The air conditioning barely worked....

I had a room that opened straight onto the pool which was great. The room was quite large with a huge bed. The hotel right on the water which was very nice. There is a huge pool. I only ate breakfast there. The breakfast room was huge with lots of American style food and due to the size of the...

Our stay at cienfuegos was by the way amazing, it is a wonderful city, in my opinion the treasure of Cuba! But the hotel was the worst one we stayed at on our trip. Rooms are really old and also food was unedible. I know their standard is not like ours and that this is the best you get in...

I was told that this was the best hotel in the area. Well the others must be dreadful . My room at the Jagua was large but very dated, oh and the safe didn't work. On the plus side it had a good view and the hotel is in a good location. Meal times were chaos and the staff clearly...

In Cuba this is a unique property as it is more modern, but it is not unique to travelers. We found it completely full of regular tour groups (we were five on our own). It was lucky we went to dinner when we did, because many were turned away to wait for tables. Same at breakfast. If we had to...

The hotel is beautifully located right by the ocean. We had a room on the ground floor with direct access to the pool (very nice!). The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious but has seen better days and will need upgrades. Dinner was included but has improvement potential. Unfortuantely, it was mostly...
