A short narrative to confirm the observations of others. We had a very comfortable stay in the cottage plus great breakfasts. Ron and Eleanore are charming hosts with a lot of knowledge about Natchez and surrounding area. The perfect ambience was further enhanced by the small team that came in to serve breakfast and clean. Very professional and friendly which...

We stayed here in Natchez for two nights with our Labrador. Not many B&Bs take dogs, but Ron and Eleanor graciously offer Aunt Clara's Cottage for those traveling with dogs. There were four rooms in the Cottage and ours was beautifully appointed with a nice king bed and remodeled bathroom. Our dog had lots of room in the guest room....

The four of us arrived on a cold blustery day in late February and were greeted warmly by the professional Inn sitters, John and Victoria. Absolutely first class hosts. We had the front two rooms with the balcony. The owners have thought of every detail in this beautifully restored Victorian home. The rooms were period correct and extremely comfortable. The...

My daughter and I just returned from a short getaway in Natchez. My husband had researched the available B&B's and made a reservation for us. He picked the Devereaux Shields house and we stayed in the Alice Room. I have to say he made an excellent choice. Cold refreshments available for us when we came back from some very hot,...

My mom and mother-in-law stayed with me in the Alice room for 2 nights July 24 and 25. We hopped around to a few different places (Monmouth and Eola Guest House) while we were in Natchez for 5 nights and enjoyed the Devereaux Shields House the most. John and Victoria are amazing hosts and made us feel at home. They...

My boyfriend and I stayed in the cottage in the Louise room. The room was so adorable and very comfy. Victoria and John were there to make sure we knew everything about the city. The breakfast was great and we met some really neat people during our stay there. We will def be back!

We spent two nights in the Rose suite at Devereaux Shields. The house and garden are immaculately maintained. The two bedrooms were spacious and well furnished. (We only needed one). The bathroom had an abundance of fluffy towels and luxurious bathrobes. There is a swing seat in the back garden in the shade that is great for trying to escape...

Loved staying here for a few days on southern trip from Pennsylvania on way to alabama then to Florida. Nice change from run of the mill motels. Owners very friendly and breakfast with the other guests was very enjoyable and good (even the grits were good). Neat little town with interesting history

My sisters and I stayed a couple nights on our yearly Sister's Trip. What a delightful stay! We loved the gourmet breakfasts, there was always coffee, sodas, ice and water available and the wine and cheese reception was a great experience. Our rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. The wait staff was so friendly, helpful and professional too! Anytime...
