Stayed this weekend with some high school friends getting together to celebrate our 40 years out of school. We had stayed here 10 years ago so we wanted the same place. This is a fabulous B&B! The owners, Ron & Mimi Miller, are the perfect hosts. The rooms upstairs are so comfortable and each has it's own private bathroom. Very...

What a great review! Thank you for your descriptions. We loved having you all stay with us. We had a great good time with you. I'm glad you thought our orange juice was fresh squeezed but I must confess that is actually frozen and reconstituted. We look forward to your return next year. Thanks again for writing a review.

I just wanted to echo all the positive reviews of this place. Mimi and Ron are so warm and their home is beautiful, the guest bedrooms and bathrooms exceptional. We are frequent road trippers to the USA and really enjoy the shared breakfasts and meeting new people. I even tried the grits but still cannot be persuaded that they are...

I'm still chuckling over your kind review. Thanks for taking the time to tell others of your experience. Of course I know who you are, since I remember your comment when your wife asked for a second cup of coffee. I'm so glad you and she liked it. For others who might like to know more about the coffee, the...

Ron and Mimi are the consummate hosts, throw in their expansive knowledge of everything Natchez making a stay at Wensel House well beyond the pale. This house has been magnificently restored and features large rooms with large bathrooms, housing all the modern amenities for a totally comfortable interlude. The accommodations and the conversation would make for 5 stars, but the...

You devil you. I am still laughing. What a hilarious review! It was almost as much fun as sitting around the breakfast table with the 4 of you talking about anything and anywhere in the world. There seemed to be nothing you had not already seen or done (on this side of the law). Mimi and I thank you so...

This was such a perfect 1-night stay for us. We had been traveling from FL for several days and this B&B was a port in the storm. There was private parking in the rear of the house. Our room (the front room) had a lovely canopy bed and a large, very clean bath. Ron helped us with our many boxes...

Betsy - Wow. What a great review. Thank you so much for your kind remarks. We loved having you with us. I might note that you were actually in the First Room (with the canopy bed). I'm glad we could provide you a safe harbor in the storms. Again, many, many thanks. Ron

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Wensel House. A classic B&B located very close to the river, the house has been lovingly restored by our hosts Ron (an architectural historian) and Mimi (head of the Natchez Historical Society). The location is excellent and our room (the Front Room) was large and well appointed. Being located on the side...

Wonderful historic home in the middle of town. You feel as you were back in the previous century, thus enhancing your overall Natchez experience. On top of that, the owner is extremely friendly and is a mine of useful information about Natchez and anything else around.

Thanks for the kind appraisal of our location. I, too, sometimes feel like I'm in the historic past of our town, especially when one of the horse-drawn carriages comes clip-clopping along the street in front of the house. It sounds a lot like the old days (but without the smells).

We stayed with Ron & Mimi for (sadly) only one night in mid March in the Oak Room which was very roomy, with a great sized bathroom. Situated one block from the river and a lovely walking path. Ron & Mimi are wonderful hosts, warm and friendly, and both are passionate about their home and the local area. Breakfast was...

Spent one night in Wensel House. The bed was comfortable, the hosts extremely kind and accommodating, the building beautiful inside and out, and the breakfast the best I had over my ten days in the South. Very reasonably priced, too. Highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The restored Victorian house is conveniently located for walking, being only a block from the park along the edge of the park overlooking the river and only 4 blocks from the center of town. The three guest rooms are on the 2nd floor. Each has 2 beds (Queen & Single) and a private "en suite" bathroom adjoining just that room. A full breakfast is freshly-cooked each morning (eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, home-made biscuits, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, orange juice, & coffee or tea). Wine, soft drinks, and fresh fruit are gratis and are available any time. You help yourself to Franzia Chardonnay in a box in the refrigerator and to soft drinks and purified water and ice in the bar at the foot of the stairs. Your hosts enjoy providing you with guidance on what to see and where to eat and drink. A free, small, secluded, private, on-site parking lot is located behind the house, at the end of Wensel Street. ... more   less
