Confirmation on the price was received prior to stay. Then the hotel raised the prices and we got them down some then the bill was wrong again. It wasn't just our room but my son's room and my brother in law's room bill was incorrect. The price was way higher than the quote. The price was close to $300.00 per night and we stayed 6 nights. It was supposed to ne 189.00 plus taxes
This hotel is spotlessly clean and offers all the amenities one could wish. Good breakfast. The location is convenient for destinations north of the Golden Gate. There is a walking trail right outside the front door. Hotel checkin staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a low priced gas station just a mile north on Route 1. The only downside is that the bathtub/shower is dangerously slippery. A rubber nonskid map was promptly delivered upon request however.
This is a modest hotel but it was very clean. The decor is a bit dated. The bed was fairly comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good. It is located right beside the water and there's a place to stroll around.
The front desk staff were all helpful. We dropped our bags before noon and then checked in after 9 pm. The rooms are big and clean, very updated. The beds were so comfortable and new. The breakfast was good. outdoor patio and fireplace charming with a view of wetlands. So easy and convenient to get to the ferry and SF. Highly recommend this hotel.
We wanted to explore the San Francisco, but wanted to stay a little out of town, The Holiday inn Mill valley was the perfect location for us. The hotel is 5 minutes from the sausalito ferry terminal or a 15-20 minute drive to San Francisco. The hotel and the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. The lady that checked us in wasn’t very welcoming, it just made for an awkward moment, but other than that everything was great.
Words cannot express the unsafe and unsanitary conditions of the rooms. Do not be fooled by the bright LED lit lobby as the rooms are old, filthy dirty and unsafe! Lets start with the first room they gave us. After walking in right away my wife sees a roach on the floor board. I know things like this happen sometimes so I step on it and we move on. As I do my obligatory room check for weirdos I look in the bathroom, closets and under the bed. Then I go check the sliding door to the patio and its unlocked! (Note we are on the first floor facing the back of the hotel looking at the parking lot to the property next door) So I make sure I lock the door and put on the chain latch. Does house keeping check the sliding doors? Maybe they just missed this one. (Stay tuned). So its time to go to dinner. We leave the room and close the door my wife checks to make sure the door is locked and it opens up. What? We close it again and without the key card just opens up. I tell my wife to go in the room and secure the deadbolt and I can still open the door without a key card! WTF! Go to the front desk the agent is on the phone by the business center and I let her know the issue. She gives us a new room. Now we no longer have a connecting room to my kids who were staying in the room next door. Makes me think who were the poor people who stayed in our room before not knowing the door was unlocked the entire time! Has anyone been robbed in that room recently? Well back to the second room. We check the room out locks work this time! But when I checked the sliding door again unlocked! An we are on the first floor facing the street! Know this is not a coincidence! Someone is setting up guest to be robbed! No once else has my level of OCD to check every last detail. How many guest did not check the sliding door and has anyone been robbed while away from their room! Tired and hungry we lock the sliding door and go to dinner. Back from dinner its time to get ready for bed. Pull off the top sheet on the bed and its covered in little dog hairs! WTF! That was the final straw! We check out and do not stay the night! I tell the front desk girl and again busy on a personal phone call she was pretty irritated that I was bothering her night. I asked her for her managers card and requested she have her call me in the morning. He response " you have her card you can call her". Sum it all up unsafe, dirty and employees who do not care. Stay away from this hotel. I stay at Holiday Inns all the time. I am not a 5 star hotel snob. A hair in the sink or tub does not bother me. But the experience I had here by far the worst I have experienced in my life! I have been a IHG member since 2002!…
We have stayed at this hotel in the past, and were always satisfied, but were quite disappointed this time. While the room we had seemed newly renovated, it didn't really feel warm and comfy. The bathroom looked pretty new, too, but not well maintained. For example there was lots of black dirt/mold on the showerhead. During our four day stay we had to return to the front desk 3 times, because the key cards stopped working and we couldn't get back into the building. The person who helped us there was pretty unfriendly und seemed frustrated by all the things that are not working properly. Covid protocols are not followed as listed on the website. There were no signs indicating that masks are mandatory indoors and the staff did not always wear masks (front desk and housekeeping). For the price this hotel charges, I'd definitely expect a more professional service.…
We stayed here our first night after flying in late on a Wednesday for a long weekend in N California. This is a perfect stop for late arrival, very convenient to Muir Redwoods early the next morning. We’ve done this twice, it’s perfect. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
The location of the hotel was great. The walking path was nice and allowed us to easily access a nearby restaurant/beer garden for dinner. However, we had a room on the back of the hotel on the first floor. The hallway happens to slow downward and so our door didn't fit well within the door frame. There were huge gaps that didn't feel very secure. The room felt poorly designed. It was big with a huge foyer but tiny bathroom. There was no toilet paper holder upon arrival, but the hotel sent a maintenance worker to fix this but didn't notify us. Also, we couldn't get the TV to work on and input selection at all. Finally, the back parking lot is prone to flooding and at check-in they told us not to park in certain areas. I'm not sure I'd return.
This is a sweet property! The best part is their status as fully solar, one of the first. The location comes second, what a wonderful waterway walk. The room was terrific. Quiet back off the highway. Lovely stay.
