Great location or a family birthday celebration on a Saturday evening. Cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Had the traditional fare selection of Welsh lamb, pork belly, mussels ... All superbly cooked, very tasty. Highly recommended, will visit again.

Very impressed with the 2 course lunch menu - lovely food and excellent value for money at only £10.50! We came across this restaurant by chance when searching for a venue for 16 work colleagues and were really happy that we did! Will definitely be going back soon to sample the pizza and cocktail deal! Thank you

I have recently stayed at the Glendale Hotel in Penarth. The room was comfortable and warm. I was on the 2nd floor so could see out over the side and back of the hotel. They have a lovely restaurant where you can get your evening meal without having to go out and find somewhere to eat. I ate in the...

Booked for a family get together, chicken liver pate and salad served on a boiling hot plate, what a twist, lettuce was almost cooked! Followed this with a sirloin roast consisting of an uncooked ( frozen )Yorkshire pudding with cold brick like roasties, uncooked parsnips and carrots covered in grease and something overcooked which resembled aubergine but not sure. When asked...

This is a good 3 star type hotel. The staff are extremely helpful - always a good start!. The room we were allocated was a large first floor bay window room with views over the garden. There is a double bed, single bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and tall chest of drawers. the bathroom has a bath/shower, hand basin...

We booked a table for 8.30pm and after being told x, y and z were off from the menu we ordered our food and drinks. The place was very busy with Christmas parties so we were told there was going to be a delay which we could appreciate. 10 minutes later we were told that one of the ordered starters...

The service was terrible, we waited nearly 2 hours from choosing our food and being served. There are only three type of meat on the menu, steak, chicken and veal. We ordered and were told they were out of everything but steak. How ridiculous not even having chicken in stock! I will never set foot in there again and I...

There are so many minuses I shall just list them. No parking, no lift, very tired decor, very noisy (think singing along to music at 11.30 at night on 1st floor whilst my Mum could sing along to the music from the pub opposite at 1.30am still). Horrible smell in room, shabby furniture, dry cleaned throws on the bed which...

Small, friendly, good value hotel, near town centre, station. I have stayed here a few times when visiting family. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Rooms are well appointed and quiet. The hotel is within easy reach of the sea front and pier....a nice walk down through the park.
