As other reviews have said, the rooms are small and not as luxurious as you would hope for. However, what the hotel lacks in this regard is made up for by the friendly staff and owner. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The location is ideal and we enjoyed breakfast outside...

Very good location right on the front on the esplanade overlooking the beach. Our room had two windows and a seat positioned to enjoy the view. A little cramped but clean and bright. Unfortunately an electric shower - they never seem to be adequate and the cubicle was small. Breakfast was fairly unremarkable - it was expensive for what it...

We recently stayed two nights at The Beach House Hotel. We had a lovely stay with a welcoming friendly owner and lovely friendly staff. It is ideally suited for the sea front and the rest of Penarth is an easy walk away (a bit hilly) The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the full english breakfast was perfectly cooked...

The hotel was homely, the welcome we had was wonderful. Instead of being an impersonal hotel experience it felt like staying with friends. Brian went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.....we will visit again

We stayed here two nights at the weekend. Turned up at 11pm but no problem parking, the hotel is right on the sea front. A short walk from the pier, in a quiet location. The owner showed us to our room, everything was clean and nicely presented. Breakfast was buffet style, pastries, cereal toast etc with fresh coffee, full English...

We booked The Beach House Hotel for an overnight stay, we were very familiar with the area so knew its seafront location. We arrived before the 2.00pm check-in time and Brian showed us to our room which was ready (always a bonus). We were given room 2, a small double seaview room but it was clean and comfortable for one...

This is a Hotel that my husband and I will never choose to visit or stay in again. I can honestly say that there was nothing acceptable about this establishment in the accommodation stakes and it is with true regret that I have to be so honest in my review especially as I know some clients enjoyed their stay although...

Friendly & attentive staff; nice rooms overlooking the water, a nice bar and bistro. Rooms very clean and well-appointed with coffee/tea making facility. Bathrooms have nice walk-in showers. Situated amongst many good restaurants within walking distance as well as the Penarth Pier and Pavilion. We enjoyed our morning walks on the Cliffwalk just up the road.

Great welcome, relaxed atmosphere, nice rooms which are very quiet and comfy. Nothing too much trouble and key to main door helpful for late returns. Breakfast was amazing, again with friendly service and smiles all round. Great place to stay, we will be back!!

I visited here recently as I was looking for a quick bite to eat outside in the lovely weather. This place has gorgeous outdoor seating with a great view, that's where the positives end unfortunately. I ordered a Caesar salad and a coffee inside with extremely under dressed (dirty caps and sportswear) staff but friendly enough. The food was brought...
