The beds are WONDERFUL. The rooms are nicely appointed. The staff was helpful. I would have loved more time to explore the property, we were only there for one night. The shops close relatively early. So if you want to explore the town be sure to get there earlier in the day. That was a bit of a disappointment for... More

Very late review as we stayed last year. This is a fantastic hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Dekicious port in our room. Very quirky plumbing that really does need to be brought up to modern times. We also ate here and the food was to die with a very reasonable price tag. I would certainly recommend anybody to... This is hard review to write, I'm a North Walian, Prisoner and weirdness fan by birth and yet, until this summer, I'd never been to Port Meririon. It has a specialness in my mind and I wanted to make my first trip there to be extra special, I'm sure loads of us feel the same way. I booked a room,... More

We stayed for 3 nights on a special offer in early December and it was absolutely excellent. The location is stunning and the hotel sits in a unique village. The food was one of the most memorable meals we have ever had, staff also fantastic and bedroom in Cliff house super comfortable and amazing view over the estuary. A bonus... More

As a regular visitor to portmeirion again we are not disappointed. Staying in a village room (stayed in the main hotel and village room previously) the room is cosy and warm with everything you could need. All the staff are attentive and relaxed which makes the stay very comfortable. The surroundings speak for themselves. I don't need to explain, the... More

I last stayed here with my folks about 30 years ago and of course the village itself hasnt changed, except as a 40 something I nowappreciate how wonderful it really it. It really is like being in Portofino or Amalfi (if you ignore the cold November North Wales wind). We had glorious sunshine and to walk along the estury /... More

This place is absolutly unic in the world and is worthing more than a visit. We stayed recently in The Dome, a big room. It was not our first stay and not the last either. The fantasy fairytale style village was the inspiration of one of the most iconic Tv series : The Prisoner. The location is stunning in the... More

Stayed here for two nights and ate at the hotel on the first night. First impression was smart, and very up market, however as the evening progressed, we did not feel at all relaxed. There was no atmosphere, no music, only food served to a high standard and some very unusual and nice tastes, but very austere and couldn't wait... More

Our room was beautiful with views of the estuary ( Rm 6 ) Lovely en-suite bathroom. We had dinner booked for 17people and it did not dissapoint ( the chef is fantastic ). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We had a lovely walk around the grounds next morning, really nice gardens.
