Just returned from Penmachno Hall and can understand why it has a five star rating. It is luxurious but homely at the same time because there are just the three rooms so you are made to feel like one of the family. Our room had everything you could possibly need, lots of little extras. The setting is amazing and would...

Just got back (sadly!) from another wonderful visit to this lovely place. Lauraine and Simon are superb, welcoming hosts and made every effort to ensure our stay was as relaxing as possible. From a comfortable bedroom (orange room this time - fab bath!) to tasty breakfasts, well stocked (and well used by us), reasonably priced honesty bar to friendly and...

This is a lovely place to stay. Hosts Simon and Lorraine could not be more pleasant and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Beautiful location ideally placed for exploring the beauty spots. Very tranquill. The only thing you are likely to hear is the sheep conversing on the hills behind the house. A surprisingly extensive breakfast menu and the...

We had previously stayed in the B&B several times but decided to stay in the self catering Coach House this year for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and it was perfect! The kitchen / living area is very well laid out, so it's cosy but surprisingly spacious, with lots of storage space so you can put everything away and feel right...

This is a lovely B&B, just south of the honeypot of Betws-y-Coed. Only three rooms – we stayed in Orange and Yellow, both have great character and nicely themed decoration to match their name, with views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. Very peaceful, with only the sheep to baa you to sleep. Hard to choose between Orange and Yellow....

Thank's to Lauraine & Simon for a perfect break, from the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome, almost like family rather than guests. We stayed in the blue room which had a large and very comfortable bed and a very nice en-suite with a good selection of toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, a wide choice was available...

Everything about Penmachno Hall is perfect. It is close enough to Betws Y Coed amenities but far enough away to get lost in the tranquility of Snowdon National Park. The main property with the rooms is full of character. We had the Blue room with the Super Kingsize bed, which was very comfy. Ensuite shower room is delightful. The super...

Have just spent the most relaxing weekend here and we are already searching for dates when we go back. Lauraine and simon were fantastic hosts - from welcoming us at the door as we drove into the drive, to friendly chatter and local walking advice, to finding me a bowl of twiglets when i said i fancied some crisps! It...
