After missing out on our first choice for dinner we arrived here. Slightly dubious of the kids eat free sign (we are a young couple with no children) but it was quite late so carried on. Also the Sunday carvery from £5.95 sign....maybe a little too cheap but turned out this was the children's price. Anyway after all that it...

Great pub, brilliant staff who were very accomadating and friendly. Carvery is amazing as you can have as little or as much as you can fit on your plate. I had steak & kidney pie on the 2 for £12 and was very happy with my meal. We have been to this pub quite a few times now and think...

Not to sure why there have been so many negative reviews. I phoned and asked if they could cater for over 60 bikers descending on them five days before Christmas and with a bit of deft juggling they fitted all of us in on a busy Sunday afternoon. Lovely car very and Paula the Landlady greeted us with a smile....

Hot chocolate fudge cake with cream, Bread & butter pudding with custard and 1 knickerbocker glory! Lovely food. Going again? you bet we...

Whilst staying at the nearby Winston manor hotel we eat here in the evening. The Doom Bar ale was straight from the barrel and very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good food and with the 2 for 1 offer excellent value. We went for the dearer of the options and got a real plate full of well cooked food.

I can only imagine that the reason why this pub was not empty was due to the local sport of waiting to see the grumpy bi-polar landlord shout abuse at some unsuspecting holiday maker selecting the incorrect table from a large pub full of tables all with reserved signs on them. Later I found out that non of them were...

Stopped for lunch and a drink - my lamb priddy was so-so but the rest of the food was good, lovely new potatoes. 25 quid for 2 large main courses, a pint and a half of decent beer and a childs meal seems fine to me, the service seemed pleasant enough as well, maybe I've been used to miserable rude...

Service was absolutely terrible. Food arrived at different times and the order was not complete. Most of the staff seemed as if they wished they were somewhere else. The food ordered was not what was given. Appalling will never go back again. Absolute waste of £150.00
