Me and the wife were going to local charity ball and i left booking the hotel a bit late. This place looked hood and was competitively priced compared to Premier Inn and Holiday Inn. In general the Hotel was really nice, the interior needs updating in the room and around the Hotel. Staff were friendly and the Hotel is well...

Spent two nights here for a short break and after cancelling a Travelodge close by. Small and really enjoyable stay, great views and very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. Had two breakfasts which were perfect, not massive amounts of food but enough and locally sourced. Had one evening email which was delicious, again not huge portions but beautiful...

Went to Lyncombe Lodge for the other half's birthday meal. Hadn't been before so didn't know what to expect. Yes it is a bit odd driving up past the ski slope and up the steep drive but it is well worth it. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who showed us in to the lounge area where we sat...

There are some good points about the Lyncombe lodge which are the food and the staff. We were in the chalets, not the main building and they are a little tired but comfortable enough. First day the shower tripped out, headboard was rather loose and needed a cushion put behind it to stop it banging on the wall when you...

Slightly daunting when you visit the first time and you keep driving up this winding hill ...but its worth it when you get there! Slightly old fashioned but in a positive way, very friendly, room adequate without being stunning, food very good both in evening and breakfast and staff very friendly and service focused. Price so reasonable I would of...

Lyncombe lodge was hidden away up a winding road behind an inland ski centre. A lovely location and a clean and welcoming hotel for a short stay. The room (5) was clean and of an adequate size. The staff were helpful and full of local information. The evening menu was modest (6 main courses ) and some dishes we felt...

Visited the hotel as part of a Wowcher deal - we don't live very far away but fancied a short break away. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! - we had a spacious double room overlooking the dry ski slope, which was warm and very comfortable. Very quiet overnight. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent - waiting...

Invited to a ruby weeding function at the lodge recently and although local to the area didn't know the place existed. Approx 70 guests sat down for a 3 course meal, ably served by the staff without to much of a wait. The location was very good, although parking could be somewhat tight, but with views over the local countryside...

What a lovely find! So glad we did not overlook this place. While it could do with a little general upgrading, overall the hotel was lovely. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted. The breakfast was amongst the best I have had anywhere. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay long enough to try an evening meal, maybe...
