We spent a weekend at this hotel because we were visiting with family who lives in the area. The hotel has a very nice lobby with plenty of comfortable chairs and tables. The rooms are nice, a little dated, but spacious. We had a king-sized bed in our room, a tv and a table. My mother who was staying in...

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to post comments about your stay on Trip Advisor. I apologize for the inconsiderate smoker on Saturday night, it is very difficult to catch a smoker in a guestroom once they start because the smoke travels and we don't feel comfortable going door to door disturbing guests that are...

My wife and I stay at the Madison around three times a month. I had to write a review just to let you know about two of your employees. Jesse and Christine are so amazing. My wife and I were recently in a car accident which shook us up a lot, knowing this they helped us out in everyway with...

Stayed here for 2 days during a visit to NYC . Hotel was average/below average and pretty disappointed in the rating. There were 2 very noisy wedding parties staying there that weekend. Very obnoxious and loud during the late hours of the night. Room was defiantly an average room for a 2 star hotel. View out the window was awful,...

I wanted to apologize for our hotels failure to not only meet but exceed your expectations. We take our rating very seriously which is why we are and have been the number one ranked hotel in not only Morristown but also all of Morris County. Did you ask a staff member to ask your neighbors to quiet down or to...

We stayed the first weekend of November 2014 on a birthday package. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very attentive & welcoming. The room was comfortable. The lounge had soft, home feel. The landscape was beautiful. It was peaceful area. Also train was behind hotel to take you into NY. I would love to visit again.

I wrote my first review of The Madison in October 2011, and 3 years later, I am still staying there whenever I visit my daughter, who is a college student at FDU. Everything I said before still holds true: perfect location (not only in that I can walk to her campus, but the NJ Transit is literally right across the...

The Madison Hotel is a lovely old place. The Common areas are decorated in dark woods with gold and burgundy textiles. Think old monied stately library. The service was efficient and polite. The restaurants are good. The clientele seems to be mostly business men. The continental breakfast is standard with better than average coffee. The room itself was where they...

A unique hotel with first rate service and style. I stay at a lot of the chain hotels - the same old box different city kind of thing. The Madison combines charm and class to deliver a comfortable stay that felt special. My room although not real large was nicely furnished and had a custom look and feel. The same...

Upon arriving to the hotel, we were greeted by 2 front desk clerks who checked us in promptly. We had requested a King Room on a higher level to avoid any noise from ongoing weddings and were placed on the 4th floor. The ambience of the hotel reminded me of an old classic movie and had a great charm. The...

Normally stay in town at Hyatt but it was sold out. Hotel is older with an older world feel. TV is from the 90's but the programming good and unlike the Hyatt there is a guide. Rooms are average size, clean and classic. Love the Keurig in the room. AC fan a bit loud. Worth the price.
