This place is a true gem in Arizona. Everything from our room to the pricing to the food at the casino was awesome. Customer service and cleanliness excellent! The view from our room on the sixth floor was absolutely fabulous. The staff at the hotel and the restaurants, Mountain Springs and Johnny Rockets were friendly, courteous and service outstanding. We had pastries from the coffee shop that were delicious. We do not gamble so we can't rate the actual casino, but it appeared that social distancing was taking place, and it certainly appeared clean. Thank you Cliff Castle for a wonderfully memorable vacation! We will return!
High on a hill overlooking the Yavapai nation and I 17 partway between Phoenix and Flagstaff sits a (relatively) new casino complex. At present it's just the casino and hotel, but from the looks of it, construction is active all around the main building. It's ez in ez off the Interstate, with large, well priced gas station and tobacco "barn". The casino, directly off the hotel lobby, is surprisingly large considering where it is located. A Johnny Rockets restaurant dominates the entry, surrounded by new slots. While we were there for a lunch sojurn on a weekday, the place was busy, but not four alarm busy. New technology slots dominated the field, mainly penny...but there were plenty of upper level denomination machines, and a "high roller" room. There' a large designated non smoking room as well. Several black jack tables were in action and a craps table nearby. The roulette appeared to be electronic. Servers were courteous and knowledgable. Rest rooms clean and spacious. Lunch at Johnny Rockets (u get a discount by joining for free the casino club) was typically JR with large burgers and dogs, sizable drinks with free refills. Pleasant and quick service. Parking is just outside the casino area with plentiful spots for handicap and a spill over garage. A relatively new venture this is a rock solid casino experience and typical native american run facility. Though we've been at similar Indian casinos in Arizona, this one fits solidly in the middle as far as Covid protocol. Masks are required; your temperature taken before entry santizers omnipresent, but many empty. There is a crew constantly cleaning the slots and chairs.........we've seen more with more diligence.…
I find it hard to criticize this place because I did hit a jackpot here BUT OMG. They have Mask Police that come around and absolutely harass you if you so much as take your mask down to take a drink of your soda (that they provide). I think the lady stands around and watches you and if you don't replace your mask before you swallow she comes over and let's you know. I finally got sick of it and left. They do have a room where you can smoke. They have a shuttle cart to get you back and forth from the parking lot.
Casino has the tightest slots we’ve ever encountered and that’s saying a lot since I’ve lived in Atlantic city and currently in Las Vegas. No taxi service available which is disappointing to learn after having a few cocktails with dinner and the gambling. We recommend going in here solely to eat at Storytellers restaurant
Nice place to spend a night. Room was pretty clean, AC should be checked and cleaned more often though. Clean bathroom. They provide free shuttle up to casino. They're Pet friendly but the area where you suposed to walk dogs wasn't designed for it, its Just a tiny spot near parking lot
