We loved our stay here, the hotel nestles within a picturesque isolated village, just right for an evening stroll. The meals were fine, fabulous rustic interior, just felt the small room expensive, l arranged the stay by phone, should have asked tariff there and then.

A beautiful small rural hotel full of character with great views down the valley and access to the mountains. The room was very comfortable, and the village is attractive in its own right. The restaurant serves outstanding food. One of the ladies on staff with very little English could seem rather dour and brisk, but we took this for shyness.... More

We stayed here two nights as part of an 8 day walking holiday. A warm welcome from Laura the owner, an excellent restaurant, menu and the meals (cooked by Laura's husband, Oliver) were first class. The location provided some challenging but rewarding walks in outstanding natural beauty, arriving back at Can Borrell for cold beers outside in their attractive courtyard... More

I feel a bit sad that we didn't experience the same level of friendly service that others travelling with the same company did. I can't say the service was bad it was just a bit "unwelcoming" but in no way awful. I did wonder if the owners were perhaps a bit shy but it would appear not according to the... More

Like others we stayed here for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday in the mountains. It is a beautiful hotel in attractive old stone buildings. Staff and the husband and wife owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and dinner superb (cooked by the accomplished chef/owner).

We stopped here for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday. We were made very welcome. Room we had was small but very comfortable. Service naturally friendly. Food absolutely outstanding, seriously high quality cooking with well priced wines to match.

We stayed for two nights in this charming 400-year-old stone house. The couple who own and operate it are most hospitable and helpful. The chef, who is the husband, is outstanding! The dinners these two evenings were our best ones in 3 weeks in Spain. The food is regional and most of it local. The house wine, the olives and... More

We were looking for a quiet place in the mountains and we were not disappointed. The building is precious, the setting in a village that takes you back in time. The hotel was comfortable. The meals were delicious and typical of the region. Best of all was the hospitality that we experienced. Laura is a true delight. She went out... More

The hotel is carved out from one or more old stone village houses on a mountainside, so lots of stone, low beams and uneven floors. Simple terrace outside perfect for sipping a glass of wine while watching the mountains, reading a book or chatting, though they could do with a couple of more comfy chairs. The owners have got it...
