We stayed here one night as part of a motorbike holiday in Spain. Really friendly hosts and lovely room. As other reviewers have commented the bed was incredibly comfortable and we had the best sleep of the holiday! Breakfast was great- we chose scrambled eggs, toast, cake coffee and fruit and this was only 5 euros each. Siguenza is a lovely small town with lots of character. One point- if you are travelling by motorbike the cobbled roads up near the Parador and this guest house make manoeuvring a loaded bike quite tricky- parking is plentiful and free though.
Casa del Castillo is at the end of the historic center of Siguenza, just opposite the Castillo (where the Parador is located). We had a fine room, nice furniture, good bed. Fine views over the town and the landscape. No AC, just a fan. We asked for an early breakfast which was not possible. Free parking just around the corner. We paid a very reasonable price for the room, no doubt a much better deal than the Parador. Siguenza is a nice town to visit for half a day. The cathedral is absolutely marvellous. There are some good restaurants in town. From Siguenza, it takes about 90 minutes to Barajas airport.
We got a warm welcome and our room on the 2nd floor was beautifully decorated and had lovely views of the town and the castle from the 2 balconies. Breakfast was tasty and the location was great - Siguenza is a compact town so everything was within easy reach. The Cathedral is stunning and well worth a visit. Coffee making facilities in the room would have been a bonus, apart from that I can't fault the Casa del Castillo.
Fantastic stay in this lovely casa rural. Great breakfasts and very comfortable rooms. Inmejorable. Fantásticos paseos en la zona - hoz del río Dulce, Palazuelos, Pozancos, el Pinar de Sigüenza, y la ciudad misma, claro. Great walks in the area - get a guidebook from the bookshop opposite the cathedral. Really warm welcome at the Casa del Castillo
We only stayed for one night. When the owner opened the front door we were surprised at how homely it was.Our bedroom was beautiful. It was all white with stressed furniture. It was so bright and spotlessly clean. The shower and toilet looked like it had just been installed. It was all so clean and fresh. There were lots of unusual nic nacs that made it very interesting. When we came in later in the evening the lounge had been lit which made it very welcoming. The owner was very nice.We had tostado with Serrano ham (our choice) with orange juice and green tea for breakfast. There was free parking about 3 minutes away. It's a very nice place to visit and the hotel is one of the nicest we have stayed in.RECOMMENDED. I
