Arrived at Far View, and even though I had booked a room 3 months in advance and requested a quiet room with valley view, we received a valley view overlooking the main road in and it was LOUD. I did request another room, but even asking for an upgrade was not possible. Ok. So we go have drinks before dinner...

Mesa Verde is a great park to visit, and it requires at least a day, perhaps two to really enjoy. The lodge is the only place to stay inside the park, besides the campground which is actually only a few miles into the park. The lodge is at least 15 miles inside.. The rooms are old, as many National Park...

When we reviewed the web site, the photo shows a beautiful lodge type building, which we thought looked great for the rate charged. After arriving, we found the photo was of the office, gift shop and restaurant. The actual rooms which you are sleeping in are out in separate barracks type buildings. They showed pictures of the rooms but did...

We stayed for 1 night in mid-April, Check in was friendly and easy. All rooms are all clustered in several buildings within a small area. The Far View Terrace, about 15 minutes walking, 3 min driving was not yet open, I think they serve breakfast buffet there in the summer. The dining room next to check in was the only...

We've stayed here a number of times over the past several years. Our just completed stay was the best yet. The room seemed to have been updated recently and was very comfortable (bed and shower worked just fine!). The location is very central to all features in Mesa Verde. The food served in the Metaté dining room is well prepared...

Great views, nowhere else to stay to if visiting Mesa Verde, you would not want to make the trip up if you are planning on spending more than 1 day in the park. We spent two nights in April. Food options were limited as the other eating place was not yet open. Food was good variety was limited. We were...

Quite a drive to get here, deep inside Mesa Verde Natl Park, but then you end up close to the cliff dwellings that you have come to see! Rooms have no TV - we knew that - but then there were no bed side tables or lamps for reading! Grrr. Room did have a frig which was convenient, and the...

After a day driving up the Mesa and exploring the park it was wonderful to be able to pull into the Far View Lodge for the night. The staff was friendly and our room was comfortable, clean and surprisingly updated for a National Park accommodation. We sat on our small deck and enjoyed breathtaking views and watched the weather and...

My wife and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary. While we had been to Mesa Verde N.P. we had never stayed there. I picked Mesa Verde based on the value of their special price, one night full price the next half off. Also because staying in Mesa Verde lodge was so much less expensive than other national park lodges. We...

We have stayed at park lodges in Yellowstone (Cascade Lodge) and Yosemite (Lodge at Yosemite Falls) and enjoyed them. We expected a similar quality room, but discovered their standard room should be called their micro room. There was only enough room to walk around two sides of each of the two queen beds in the room. The bathroom was even...
