We walked into town and were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the people and the great location of this hotel. It is on a small square with the local tourist office just across the way in another refurbished historic building. Our room here had old Spanish architectural character with heavy wooden door shutters which made sleeping easy since they blocked out street noise. I consider this hotel a gem in a small, busy town. What a find! Stay here!
I was suppose to stay at Casa Espana but on arrival, due to a wedding the following day, I was put up at their sister hotel, Hotel Conventin. It was unmanned but I was checked in at Casa Espana and then had to walk some way to the other hotel but go back for breakfast. I wasn’t happy with this arrangement but the room was clean with a good bathroom. As I was walking the Camino Del Norte, I could have done without the extra exercise but the manager was a friendly chap and sometimes a wedding takes priority.
Spent three nights here on a recent trip. Our room faced the square but was very quiet. It was nicely appointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant in the hotel and we had breakfast (included in the room rate) each morning. Rather than having your typical hotel buffet they take your order. Very pleasant and the food was well prepared. There is a large parking area about 2 blocks from the hotel so parking is not a problem. The hotel is centrally located to many restaurants and cider houses and is directly on the Camino
Nice quaint old world typically Spanish town centre hotel. Brilliant location, easy parking and plenty of cider bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. This is the epicentre of Asturias cider region! Enjoy
Great hotel, old style Spanish , very clean and great position! Ideal for all the local bars and restaurants! Could not fault the rooms , super clean sheets and towels. Great breakfast the best freshly squeezed orange juice ever ! €5 great choice and value. Very good owners, very polite and friendly, many thanks!
Ancient pictoresque building well renovated with cafeteria underneath, with excelent location right in the major square of Villaviciosa. Our room was spacious enough, no thrills but the balcony with great view to the square compensates the negative points (even the noises from the street at night). Bathroom ok but not very modern. Staff was kind and friendly, breakfast not included but there's lots of cafeterias nearby.
Large triple room on top floor with large bathroom, although only two of us there was plenty of room for three. Comfortable beds. Quiet night. We even had a nice salon on our floor to enjoy an aperitif before going to dinner. Helpful and friendly receptionist. Exceptional value for €35
The hotel has real Old World appeal and is located right in the middle of the town. The cafe downstairs served a good Spanish omelette for breakfast. Hotel parking was a couple of blocks away with a few hundred meters walk back to the hotel. The two bedroom suite we had was really good value for money.
This was a super nice hotel. We did not stay in the main building but in another building down the road. It was all new with quiet rooms and good quality all around. The location is superb and they have a separate garage where we were able to store our bikes.
6 of us stayed here for only one night. The location was great and the owners were extremely friendly. We had a large double room which was very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
