We often visit the small, but pleasant beachfront of Cotobro. The seafront paseo connects the approximately 15 km which spreads out east and west from downtown Almunecar. Here you may enjoy a quiet day reading or just 'chilling out' in the soul warming sunlight of Andalicia.

A great position, right on the beach. Choice of beaches to visit, not much else to do in the vicinity. Good for a few days, my 4 days was enough. Wifi is only available in the public areas & they are very spartan. No comfortable chairs to sit in, no cosy bar. The dining room did not have much character,...

Stayed at the Hotel Playa Cotobro in early September. It carries the ubiquitous four stars, of course. In fact, it closely resembles an IBIS, a Premier Inn or a Campanile. Nothing wrong with that and pricing was of that level so we weren’t unhappy with the price v quality. There are, however, several things that could be done to improve...

This little hotel is ok but not great. Stayed there recently for two nights, very comfy beds and amazing views from sea view rooms. Swimming pool is small but very nice and a decent sit down lounge area also avaliable. Two nights just the right amount of time as rooms are very noisy, not a problem for beach stays i...

This is a good around average hotel - don't expect 5* experience, what you are getting really is the location and views if you make sure you get a room that overlooks the bay with a balcony. The pool is small but good enough for a dip and sub bathing. We went in May - not much space for more...

Unfortunately we stayed at the hotel with the pensionista, feeling reassured that it was a 4* hotel. On arrival we were sent straight to the dinning room, there we were shown a table. I put my hand bag under my chair and then went to the server which was approximately 6mtr away, on returning to my seat my husband asked...

We also went to this hotel with the Spanish pensionista scheme. We were the only English speakers in our group and in the hotel. We speak a little Spanish so this wasn't too much of a problem but the staff did speak English and were all very helpful. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. Our room had a fabulous sea...

We have just returned from very enjoyable week in this hotel. Traveling with the Spanish Pensioners, which made the hotel totally Spanish. There is staff that can speak English. A newish Modern hotel sitting just across the street from the paso and beach. Lovely views from the room, lounge, sitting areas outside on the deck. There is a regular bus...

Stayed here with my husband for four nights in June. Hotel is very clean and staff helpful. No tea coffee making facilities in room and no English TV. Wifi only in and around reception. We stayed half board; dinner in the evening was nothing special but this may be because the hotel was not very busy. Breakfast- not a huge...
