Best hotel in Atlanta. Friendly and helpful staff members. Very quick response time. I have stayed here serval time over the year’s. The service is always top tier, the only downside is the bar and cafe closes early than the posted time.
Atmosphere outside was undesirable, crowds of people out standing around, loud, backed up lines of traffic that were trying to pull in to the hotel- no parking available upon arrival- after driving 8hrs all day/night. It wreaked of marijuana- parking is a ridiculous $50/day charge. Only 2 towels and 2 wash cloths in a double room which is for 4 people. Requested more and never received them during our 2 night stay. Service desk was always busy with a long line and 1 employee at the desk. Employee not very helpful at all- I had higher expectations for the price we paid and the fact that hyatt regency is usually a pleasant brand- Not so much at this location. Just don't have your hopes up to receive great service.
My stay at the Hyatt Regency was great. I was greeted with kindness and they acknowledged my membership status. The staff informed me with an early arrival room option before my reserved room was prepared. The internal restaurant was great. All staff were fantastic.
Very comfortable and quiet hotel! Great food service in the hotel restaurants. The conveniently located Hub at Peachtree was an extra plus. Lots of sights to see nearby. Marta rapid transit, banking, shopping, etc are comfortable walking distance.
We were in town (me, wife, 9 y.o. and 3. y.o. boys) for a medical conference my wife was attending. Hotel was really busy, with at least two other conferences being hosted concurrently. We originally had an AirBnB that we had to leave because of pests, so I'm a bit jaded because we were hoping for a suite-style with a kitchen/kitchenette. We had a corner king adjacent to a two-doubles room. City views weren't great but for a last minute booking it was fine. Room size and cleanliness were good, but no housekeeping until 4th night, so I'd call down for fresh towels/sheets and garbage changes as needed. Only tough part was check-in, as I asked for a microwave and an extra fridge, neither of which were provided. I also had asked for a crib/pack-and-play at booking, check-in and multiple times during the day but ended up getting a roll-out bed at like 11pm.…
During my stay the smoke detector broke and wouldn't stop beeping. When fixed(the repairman was very nice despite being quite busy that evening. This rating does not apply to him) the electricity went out. A room discount was requested but denied.
It was nice. Clean. Customer service was slow. Also, when i walked into my room the TV was on. It made me think I was walking into someone else's room. It was unsettling. BAD pillows. Bed is good. The place is LOUD. Atlanta isn't a quiet town. 20 floors up, and you could hear a LOT of street noise as though it was in your room. A very bad night of sleep.
Hotel doesn’t have room service, which would face been helpful after an evening arrival. Digital key didn’t work until I went to the front desk-defeated the purpose of requesting the key since all of my info and card were on file. Otherwise, a fine experience. Room was humid, but engineer was excellent.
Where to begin. 1. Regency Club is closed - not stated anywhere when booking. 2. Polaris is closed - again, not stated anywhere when booking. 3. No upgrade - thanks for being attentive to those who serve the brand best, Globalists. When departing after 4 nights I can only reflect on how much I tried to avoid being around this property. Coming back to the hotel after meetings and realizing how quickly I was getting ready to get the hell out of there to go to Sotto Sotto, Atlanta Grill, and Bacchanalia made me completely understand and regret my hotel choice. Let me help you here: "We’re so sorry to hear your experience was not up to our standards of guest care." Because YOUR stands are set low. Like really low. Fix it. The GM should be highly embarrassed.
Very noisy hotel where sound resonates to rooms. Constant noise begins early, from breakfast hours extending into the early morning hours by those at the bar. So do not expect much quiet-time. If possible avoid rooms facing Peachtree St. Hotel driveway/entrance brings a ton of noise as well as cars playing loud music driving by. Valet service is very good; be nice and they are very accommodating. Rooms are rather small and do not have a closet. Restroom is very small; watch your knees when someone opens the door, if you are sitting on the commode. Def not enough room for two people in the restroom at one time. They have an entertainment center (rather small), where iron, coffee maker and assorted stuff is stored, so not much room for hanging clothes. We were there for a convention with 4 receptions requiring 4 suits w/trousers, shirts, and my wife's dresses. We were only able to hang 7-8 items, that made it rather tight. My wife's dresses were too long so we had to hang them on the outside, after removing the ironing board. While not a table-top board, or full-size, it was mid-size and adequate for our needs. Our rom had a balcony. Sadly, no spa/whirlpool (always the highlight of any hotel stay). The room rating below is reflective of the above. Nice room, just too small. Our room had a tub that flooded, reaching top of foot within seconds. It never drained and was ankle deep when exiting. I don't know about you, but I don't feel clean if I see stuff floating in the water. I got to thinking, "wow, is this stuff from other people that got stuck in the drain?". Not a comforting thought. Nicely designed, centrally located property with enclosed bridges to Peachtree Center and Marriott behind hotel. Front desk staff were nice and helpful when asked. There is a $50 charge for early check-in before 12Noon, and $25 after 12noon until regular check-in time. You should check if you plan to check-in early. I hope this helps you make an informed decision.…
