Their exterior is maintained beautifully but their rooms leave a lot to be desired. The rooms were tiny, with there being no place to even walk around the bed. There is a small dresser and a closet and also a table with two chairs which makes you feel like you are navigating an obstacle course. The bathrooms are even tinier...

We love The Highland Inn! Yes, it's old; yes, the floors are uneven and they squeak; yes, the rooms are eclectic. If you want modern, amenity- laden perfection, the Highland is not for you. But if you appreciate super-friendly and helpful staff, a somewhat funky atmosphere, and a great price in a good location (easy walk to Little Five Points)...

We love staying at the Highland Inn. It reminds me of France and the old inns there. They are also pet-friendly! The rooms are small and quaint with mismatched furniture and comfy beds. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

When you check in you get a key- not a card, an actual key. After a brief walk down a hall and up some very creaky steps, this key will open a small room with a pipe running through the ceiling. The floors are uneven and there is a weird step up into a serviceable, if somewhat grungy bathroom. Temperature...

Built in the 1920s it has not changed much. It is clean but unacommodating. Could use a facelift but everyone seems to be okay with it the way it is. Our room did not have a dresser or vanity which made it difficult to dress for the wedding we came to town to attend. The Location will interest some people...

I found it comfortable and cozy, though "old", staff is very friendly and the atmosphere was nice and interesting. The only problems I had was the full-lactose breakfast (impossible for me to eat) and the dog barking in the room next to mine, that was very annoying.

It is WONDERFUL if you are a Jimmy Carter scholar or enthusiast. It is a lovely walk to the Library and Museum. The people there are lovely. The hotel is 1970s Bates Motel. Scary. Unkempt. A black cat.

As an Atlanta-suburb resident, I have always wanted to stay here. Convenient location, quaint interior, large room, clean, nice furniture in room, friendly black cat that roams the hotel, very friendly staff. I honestly felt like I was staying at grandmother's house. And, did I mention the price?! You cannot get anything cheaper in ATL without going to a roach...

This appeared to be old apartment housing turned into an Inn, so there were a number of interesting (should I say strange) things noticed. However, I have stayed in old Inns that were not as comfortable. It took the water about 7-10 minutes to warm up. The beds were adequate, the heater worked great and we did just fine. Free...

People seem to be very fond of this place. I know, I had a great check in and even got a free upgrade to a King suite. But no. I travel constantly. I stay in everything from zero to 5 star hotels, from New York to northern Nigeria. I always try my best to give a fair review. I tried...
