Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed at this hotel two nights for a wedding that my family and I were attending. This hotel is great. David, one of the bellman, is fantastic. Everyone from check-in to check-out were very friendly. Lobby has such a chic design to it. Rooms were very clean; beds very comfortable. Service from the workers (either housekeeping to bring towels up or maintenance coming up due to batteries dying in our smoke alarm) were exceptionally quick. We had a Double Queen room on the 26th floor, view was very nice facing both midtown and downtown in the distance. We traveled from NJ; this was our first time in Atlanta. Midtown is such a great area, not in the hustle and bustle but close enough to attractions. We will be back in the future and we will choose this hotel again. What a great experience!

I picked this hotel for its location, accommodations, and the 4 star rating. I had to plan a conference at the last minute and a couple of the hotels in the vicinity did not have the space to accommodate my group. George Lewis was my point of contact and he was on it! I try not to send emails too late just to be considerate of other peoples time but every now-and-then I had to send a late email. George would respond the same night I sent the email and he was 3 hours ahead of my time zone. George was very thorough and made sure all needs were taken care of. He stopped by every morning to make sure we were good and he definitely made sure the staff was attentive to us. I also have to highlight Janine - she was our server for our opening dinner Friday night and her warm hospitality helped make the night memorable. She was an absolute pleasure and the weight of her kindness is priceless. Shaquonna with the rooms! I had all kinds of last minute changes from delayed and canceled flights to people having to arrive on a completely different day and I was fearful that all of it wouldnt get down to the front desk staff and there was never an issue when my people checked in. This is major for me because my team travels a lot and I always have issues with last minute changes with rooms. The fact that NONE of my staff had issues checking in is a big deal! Thank you Shaquonna!

Mitch, our bartebder, was great and made a fantastic custom cocktail. There was a live live jazz band that made the atmosphere perfect for an intimate date night. Can't wait to come back for more soon!

The lobby is beautiful but seems like that's the only thing it has going for it. There were no lights in the room, only in the bathroom, and they weren't super bright. The bathroom door is barn door style and didn't close all the way, leaving about a 4 inch gap from the frame. There were no robes or trash cans, just one bath towel and an extremely large trash bag. There was a coffee maker and two paper cups but no glasses for water, an ice bucket, or any way of making tea. There was no closet or dresser so I'm glad we weren't staying for long, as we just had to keep clean clothes in our suitcases and pile dirty clothes in a corner of the room. The Hyatt nearby is much more affordable, in a better location and has better rooms and amenities.

1st.. I reserved for my wife's birthday. I checked in through the HH app and chose my room.. King deluxe room. Room 2213. Once we arrived they downgraded our room. Said the one I selected was no longer available. I asked This is a king deluxe.. No she said.. just a basic king. Pretty much take it or leave it..Room layout was not made for comfort. Bed facing the wrong direction from every hotel I've stayed in during my 40 years of travel. I've stayed at better Double Tree, homewood suites, HGI, H2 suites and Tru than this place. Looking for an upgrade and got disappointed.

Stayed here for business check-in was quick and easy, staff was friendly, hotel was extremely clean, used the self parking facility, which worked out great. We had a general meeting that seemed to go. Flawlessly bar was open early and late in the evening, which allowed an easy place for us to relax. Restaurants are close by which made this very convenient

Not accessible. The hotel would not guarantee an accessible room over a month out. The ADA lift to the main conference space does not work. The main lobby restroom is not accessible. They have a single stall but is unmarked and locked at most times because of a faulty locking mechanism. The alternative route to the conference space is either through the freight elevator or requires going through a door that uses duct tape as a handle on the pull side. The accessible path to enter the hotel is marked with green cones up the active driveway. Of course if you drive a nice enough car you can block the path. Been there all day. Do not visit this property.

My stay was for one night to attend a conference at the hotel. I agree with some of what others have said about this property. It's beautiful, from the lobby to the hallways and the rooms. But it misses the mark in a couple of areas that would make a big impact with little effort. I waited over 45 minutes for a salad at the bar, which is just too long. The rooms look nice and mine was spacious. There were only two paper cups for coffee in the room, no other cups. The coffee maker was old and there was no tea. They could easily upgrade the coffee service to make a better impression. The bathroom is lovely, but they missed the mark with toiletries. If you plan to do your makeup while there, you will need better lighting than what they have in the bathroom. I would also suggest upgrading the linens. Overall it was a good stay, but small changes could make a big impact.

This building has been a hotel for many years under many brands - Sheraton, W, and now Starling. It has always been punk. The elevators did not work when it was a Sheraton and only 2 work now. For a hotel with a rack rate of more than $600 (plus $50 per night valet parking), it is a shambles. The bathroom has been renovated since it’s days as a Sheraton, but the basin drain still does not work. The ever so chic shower give no indication where hot and cold are located and the water takes so long to flow hot that one is certain that the normal setting is wrong. Not to mention that water pressure fluctuates wildly. And surely for $600 Hilton could afford more than a single bar do soap. The only mirror in the unit is in the bath. The bath has no air circulation, so the mirror is constantly fogged. Moving to the bedroom. Only one, low wattage reading light between the 2 queen beds. Only two paper cups for whole room - coffee service and tooth brushing. And the tops provided are too small for the cups! The sheet on the beds were no tucked in. This is not a $600 hotel. Perhaps the name is actually Starvling.
