I surprised my wife for our 30th anniversary with a getaway to Woodstock. We stayed at the Carriage House for two days. My wife loved it. It was close to everything in the area. Miranda did a great job from beginning to the end of our stay, especially the awesome breakfasts. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the...

My experience at the b&b was wonderful. When i arrived, the innkeeper had delicious chocolate chip cookies and coffee available. The room was filled with unique antiques. The innkeeper had a delicious breakfast in the morning. Overall this B&B is a must when staying in Woodstock!

My husband and I stayed for 3 days in this very friendly and comfortable inn during our vacation in August. The inn keepers were very friendly and gave us great advice on places to eat in Woodstock (we tried both places Miranda recommended and loved them both, especially Worthy Kitchen!!). The breakfasts were also awesome and abundant, with totally different...

I stayed here for 2 nights in July and found Carriage House to be clean, well-run, and pleasant. The room was small but adequately furnished and well air-conditioned given the warm temps that week. It had a clean and well-maintained bathroom. The house has a porch where you can sit out and it's quite nice to watch the sun go...

Stayed here for 3 nights recently with my wife and was very happy with everything - the room, overall decor of the inn, hospitality of the hosts and great breakfasts. Would absolutely recommend to couples visiting the woodstock area.

What a fun place filled with classic and bestselling books! Even the stairs are painted to look like classic book spines (Tolkien, Star Wars, Jane Austen, Winnie the Pooh, etc). Friendly staff. Books everywhere. Handy spot to stop on a road trip up to Canada. Wish I could have stayed to read all the books. Tasty and filling breakfast included,...

Looked good on Internet. Not people friendly , too much decorating. Every surface had something on it! There is a line between decor and clutter and we feel it was crossed. Some call it quirky, I call it borderline hoarding. Rooms were small to srart with but when filled with furniture and antique items and books, it was difficult to...

We stayed at the most delightful B & B on our very first trip to Vermont. I planned a special anniversary gift for my wife that included a stay at the Carriage House in Woodstock. The location was centrally located to all of the places we wanted to visit and activties we wanted to do. Miranda went out of her...

Arrived to find Miranda busy but warm and cheerful to greet us and show us our room. Very nice room, a/c worked well, shower and bathroom great and bed very comfortable. Breakfasts (2) were outstanding and Miranda even have us a great tip for local hikes.

My wife and I had booked four nights which gave us time to visit and see what we wanted, from Stowe in the north to Okemo and Weston in the South. We were so satisfied with the inn-keepers, a mother and daughter team. Very friendly and accommodating. It felt just like family. Breakfasts were home cooked and each day different....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the Carriage House, we believe in a different kind of bed and breakfast experience. One that is both elegant and fun. We love doilies and antiques as much as the next person (well, maybe not quite as much), but we also love relaxing rooms where you can come home at the end of an adventurous day and read a book, watch a movie, or play a game with family and friends. We delight in art, literature, music, wine, and cheese, but we also appreciate the virtues of blow tubes, marshmallows, and shaving cream every now and then (a messy, but uber fun game best played outside). We believe you can enjoy well set tables, slow meals, crisp clean linens, and plush towels and . . . Video games. Each of our 9 guest rooms is individually themed and features a private bath, luxurious linens, and free in-room wifi. We want you to know that we welcome people from every walk of life, and we are LGBT friendly. Also, children of all ages are welcome (though we may need your assistance to avoid disturbing other guests) and we can occasionally accommodate small pets (please call in advance to check). Whoever you are, our goal is help you have a magical experience while visiting one of New England's most charming areas. ... more   less
