Just returned from a week away, place is clean and tidy and rooms have some great features like dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, hot tub etc. Our air con was great which really helped as it was so hot outside! Beds are very firm which isn’t to my personal preference but understand you have to cater for everyone. The rooms are overall great, if I was being very critical I’d say the balconies and rooftop could do with a bit of tlc with the paintwork and rendering as a lot is flaking and chipping off but didn’t affect the stay just looks a bit tired. Having the 3 pools was a good option although the small one is very tired with multiple tiles missing and not very clean, the other 2 though were fine and the pool bar always seemed well stocked whenever we used it. The grounds are also kept nice around the whole complex. The reception for me is in the wrong place! Right at the top of the hill (and trust me it’s a hill!) away from all the accommodations so when you need to go up there make sure you have your hiking boots on! The restaurant serves great food for dinner, didn’t try breakfast as cooked ourselves. Although it was always so quiet which is baffling as the only place to eat within a mile! Considering you have to either get a taxi or drive to get supplies, I am so surprised there isn’t a mini supermarket on site to get essential items etc. seems like there was one before as where the table tennis table is, it has supermarket in vinyls on the window but only some vending machines selling chocolate and drinks in there. The biggest downfall for us was the no entertainment, with 3 kids (5, 11 & 13) to try and entertain it is always tough, but when there is no daytime or evening entertainment for either kids or adults in truth it got a bit boring around the complex. Being so isolated I would of thought evening entertainment would/should be a must, in every hotel in Spain I’ve been too before they have “mini disco”, parrot show, bingo etc. just the average cheesy stuff that pretty much makes a holiday. Fair enough if that’s not your thing but you don’t have to join in with it. They did have a kids club but only seemed to be 3/4 kids doing it and our little one didn’t fancy it on her own but that still doesn’t change my view that evening entertainment is a must! Also the other thing I think should be included is a shuttle bus that runs down to either San Pedro, the nearest beach or even the strip of restaurants that’s about a mile away, but not walking distance due to the hill! Even if the shuttle ran 3/4 times a day it would get you around a lot easier. I see a lot of people saying car rental is essential, we didn’t have one and got on fine! €7 down to the supermarkets, €10 to the restaurants and €20 to estepona which is a lovely place by the way! Would I stay here again? If it didn’t change no, if it put on entertainment then yes as the complex and grounds are lovely it’s just missing the few key bits! Thankyou for the stay.…
We found it to be a perfect accomodation with, in our case, a jacuzzi on the roof! Great staff, the restaurant is super (we had breakfast included and that's a real plus!!) and if anything is not 'great' speak to the staff and they will really (do everything they possibly can to) fix it. You will need a car to get to the beach, get some grocceries or get around, but this will only expand your possibilities in this great area of Spain. We highly recommend this holiday-site!!
Stayed in 608 from 25/6 to 2/7. Spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything you might need. Comfy bed. Absolutely awesome shower lol. Lovely view from the patio/balcony down the valley to the sea and with view to The Rock of Gibraltar. Great staff. Easy check in, even though it was past midnight. Easy and pleasant to deal with. Can't fault them at all. Thank you for a lovely stay. Enjoyed it so much, we're staying again in October!
We travelled here 2 adults and 2 kids (7&9) and had a fantastic 5 night stay! All staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we checked in throughout our entire stay and the place itself offers absolutely amazing value for money. We stayed in a 3 bed townhouse with jacuzzi on rooftop and what a lovely place this was. Very easy to find using sat nav took about 50 minutes from Malaga airport. Townhouse - massive - very clean, fully equipped kitchen(including washing machine and dishwasher) 3 outdoor seating areas including the amazing rooftop which had jacuzzi, sunbeds, fridge and incredible views. Beds very comfy, whirlpool bath, 3 showers, 4 toilets and great air con. English channels on tv too a big bonus with kids. The views from the rooftop were incredible loved sitting with a glass of wine watching the sunset over the mountains. Plenty of bath Towels included for our stay and pool towels for hire at 10 euros deposit at reception each which you get back when handing towels back. Pool table and fussball table up at reception only 1euro great for entertaining my son! We hired a basketball a few times which was great also noticed lots hiring tennis sets all having lots of fun all very clean well maintained courts. When you hire equipment you just leave a deposit which you get back when taking back hired equipment. Parking direct outside your townhouse made it so much easier unpacking. There’s a Lidl and mercadona literally 5 mins drive away to stock up and benahavis (which is stunning) or estepona only 10 mins away offering a vast selection of bars and restaurants really was a perfect location though you absolutely do need a hire car if you plan to go out and about and explore. We ate at the restaurant for 2 nights and both times the service, food and view were great. Pools all clean and middle one was absolutely ideal for our kids age all watched by lifeguards too. Kids club was a little basic but my daughter absolutely loved it so went every morning session for 2.5 hours giving us time to play basketball with our son and time to relax on the terrace with our breakfast too. This place offers such a relaxing break and is close access to lots of places to visit. We will be back next year for a longer stay and highly recommend to any families who want a relaxing break away. Thanks for a lovely stay 🙂…
Absolutely fabulous. Late review as it didn't post last time. Staff are super helpful, apartment was just perfect. You do need a car but do not let that put you off. Just the most relaxing holiday you can get. Oh and BTW After a tired day the restaurant take away is just the best
Spent an amazing week at Colina del Paraiso with my husband and two teenage children. We stayed in one of the three bedroom/ three bathroom apartments which was fantastic, its very rare to find a three bedroom apartment on a complex like this. The apartment was very clean, spacious and well equipped it was literally "home from home", what was really great about this apartment was the huge roof terrace and plunge pool, which made our holiday extra special!!!! If you stay here you definitely!!! need a car as there are no shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance, however the complex does have a very nice restaurant with spectacular views out to the rock of Gibraltar. The menu is very family friendly and reasonably priced. I highly recommend a trip to the mountain village of Benahavis, which is a 12 minute drive away, its a beautiful old town full of character, with lovely bars and restaurants. My husband and I did a hike out of Benahavis which was lovely, the views across the costa del sol were amazing!!!!…
Such a lovely house and gardens/ pools, fully equipped, great views of gibralter in the distance across the ocean and the mountains, very helpful staff, very clean, spacious and modern, close to the beach and shops etc but you will need a car, the only down side was the hot tub wasn’t very warm but if the weather was warmer this wouldn’t bother us, over all fantastic value and will definitely be returning, oh yeah, and fantastic wifi and aircon. Thankyou so much for a lovely stay Butch and caz x
This is our second time here and the accommodation is to a very high standard. The apartments are huge and are more like villas. We had 2 x 3 beds to accommodate 9 people. A car is a must here due to location and is in easy reach of Marbella and Estepona. The restaurant is also very good and all of it great value. Highly recommended!!
This is our second time here. The townhouse suits our needs just fine and is well equipped and clean. We ate at the restaurant every evening and were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff during our stay. There are 3 pools, tennis courts and multi sports pitch as well as a mini gym and pool table so our teenagers had lots to keep them occupied. We had a car this time which we needed even to get to local shops.
We had a five night stay 11-16 October. Reception staff very helpful upon arrival and when you’re asking about the area, directions etc. We only ate at the restaurant onsite on one evening but the food was lovely and the staff were also very friendly. You will definitely need a car if you are staying here as it is in a very hilly area. Lovely setting by Golf course, it was noisy however if you stayed at apartments during the day due to nearby construction work, which there was a lot of but this is out of their control, but worth mentioning if you think it will be very quite and peaceful. The Townhouse was lovely inside, very clean with Decent size rooms, with a good quality kitchen. The exterior of the building was completely different story. It paint peeling off the walls in many places, black mould along bottoms of the walls. All 3 of the Terracotta terraces needed a good clean and sweep, we found toenail clippings on one terrace. Air conditioning units on our top terrace were extremely noisy when turning on, literally made you jump and woke us up a lot at night time. This didn’t affect our holiday as such but it just let down the rest of the property which was so nice. To be totally honest though the only thing that would really put us off coming back again was the condition of the Hot Tub. Firstly they are very old, they had no way of adjusting temperature all the dials were missing or broken you just had on/off and variable adjustment for the jets. The cover had seen much better days as well. Upon arrival it had a scum marks all around the top edges. Before use, we had to wipe this all down/off with antibacterial wipes. There was also lots of grit in the bottom of the tub. As this was our first day we decided to clean it up as best we could ourselves so we could use it. We always had a shower after use as you just didn’t feel clean after coming out. On the 3rd day we asked them to clean the hot tub. When we arrived back after a day out I had to ring reception to see if it had been done as all the scum was back and the large amount of grit was still sitting in the bottom. They said it had been cleaned, but I told them it definitely had not. It seems the maintenance guy must have just added some kind of chemical to the hot tub which causes vast amounts of yellow scum but he didn’t bother to clean it out or wipe any of it down as it was still dirty and dusty as it always was, with yellow scum bubbles everywhere. In the UK we’ve stayed in several places with hot tubs. They are always checked on a daily basis for cleanliness and chemical content etc. This does not happen at all here. After this we were not able to use the hot tub as we would have been covered in yellow scum. Overall we enjoyed our break here as it is a lovely place to stay, friendly staff, nice setting etc, it’s just seriously let down by the hot tubs and the lack of maintenance to the exterior of the townhouses. I would have given a 5 star rating otherwise. It would be expensive to do it but they need to replace the ageing hot tubs or at least have them professionally refurbished and then cleaned and checked on a daily basis as in the UK.…
