The old Mediterranean town of Izola nestles on the south western coast of the Gulf of Trieste, where the genuine tradition of fishing and winemaking, and the friendliness of the locals join into an unforgettable mosaic of experiences. Hotel Marina is located in the very centre of this small town. Izola’s turbulent history has contributed to the creation of beautiful architectural treasures and ancient legends that take you back in time to when Izola was still an island. Hotel guests can breathe the fresh sea air from their hotel rooms, as most of them face out toward Izola harbour. The hotel offers more than 100 beds in 49 air-conditioned and modern rooms. The beach is located only 200 metres from the hotel. The ground floor of the hotel is something for those who love pampering. We offer Finnish and infra-red sauna, whirlpool and massages. We recommend a visit to the Restaurant Hotel Marina. Freshly prepared Mediterranean specialties will convince even the most sceptical.

I've heared from friends about the restaurant hotel marina before my first visit and my expectations were very high, especialy because they have recieved a michelin plate badge in 2020. I visited restaurant twice in august and on both occasion it was delicious.
The waiter was more than friendly and relaxed in communication about the wine, food, philosophie of the restaurant... We decided for mix of sea starters. Anchovies "šavor", bakalar, octopust salad, fish & vegetabelbin tomato sauce, tuna tartar, fish carpacio served with home made bread, lisjak olive oil and salt from piranske soline were delicious start of our dinner.
Tha pasta with vongola mussels and shrimps was light in taste, but perfectly cooked pasta tasted great. The fish pan for two was an eye reward. Sea bass with ceps, octopus and potato cooked in one pan added an extra taste to this dish. The waiter served each plate from the pan to us and after already two dishes before... we hardly could eat the third dish.
We skipped the desert, but we left more than sattisfied. The price for dinner was great value for money. Highly recommended

Such a nice hotel and great restaurant. The staff and servers are friendly and helpful. We had 3 rooms. 1 balcony with Sea View, 1 balcony with Marina View (there is construction on the marina at the time we were visiting) and 1 Sea View view room. All the rooms are comfortable and linens very nice. Izola is a beautiful little town and we enjoyed the sunset walk in evenings.

Hotel Marina is located right on the waterfront at Izola, and 20 minutes from Piran. We had a King Superior room, which was fine for us (2 adults and one child). It had a huge balcony with sunloungers on it and a view of the marina and the sea. The hotel is just a few metres from the main swimming area and a short stroll to the centre of Izola, which is a pretty little town with a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. We didn't need to try any of these because the jewel in the crown of Hotel Marina is the restaurant, which serves fantastic seafood. We ate there every night because it was so good! The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and were very kind when our son was injured in the sea. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great base to explore the Slovenian coast.

Hotel is on a very beautiful location, but that is all good about it. In my opinion price performance doesn't work (small outdated furniture, just one socket in the room,...).
I am really sory but I have to mention that as a guest I felt very unwelcom. The stuff was unfriendly- especially in the breakfast area. Whatvever you asked for, it felt like asking too much even just for ordinary coffee.
And the same story at the reception- I came there because I wanted to ask something, two receptions seen me waiting but just kept on having their conversation and did not bother about me.
The only person who deserves four stars is Darja from reception!

This is a really nice place to stay, it overlooks the Marina and the beach is just a few steps away. The breakfast was excellent, even for me with food sensitivities there was plenty of choice. The staff were extremely helpful if you had any questions. The room was comfortable but the only thing I would say about our room was that when I went to open the curtains to let some light in I discovered a shutter and behind that a lady sitting on her balcony that I could of shaken hands with becauseshe was so close. So we left the curtains closed. Apart from that the room was comfortable and we had a wonderful stay here and would happily stay again.

Be prepared to listen to the music from the hotel restaurant in your room facing the sea from the very morning (6:30) to the very night. Extremely annoying! Would be glad to know who masterminded such a distraction! At such a beautiful place listening to the sea would certainly suffice!

The staff is very friendly, the room is clean, the view from the balcony is amazing. The hotel food/restaurant is amazing, large variety even for vegans.😊 Soy and rice milk included. The best wellness and spa centre inside.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The staff was friendly, the room was clean with a nice sea view and they had a lot of different breakfast options. The only minus is not enought parking spots, but we came with bikes this time, and they offered a room to store them. We had very pleasant stay in this hotel.

I am pleased to be writing the first review of this hotel but also relecutant to put it on the net as too many tourists will ruin it....
My husband and two children visited this hotel in June/July 2007. We arrived in Isola and drove along the waterfront to find the this unique spot. The hotel was a 3 star but I would classify it more as a four star. It has a unique position being on the waterfront right in the heart of the old town in Isola, Slovenia. It has gorgeous views from nearly every room. Although not ideally suited for a family we first stayed in the Junior suite which had a separate bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed. Big balcony on the first floor. We could only stay two nights so then moved to a superior room which was really only set up for 2 adults and one child but still had a fantastic balcony and view. The staff were great and the position was fantastic. The rooms had great LCD TV, comfortable beds and good space. There was also free internet access in the lobby. We ended up staying one week as we loved the area so much.

Yes, the parking is available. You need to pay for it. But it might be full. Don't worry, hotel staff will provide you a parking a little farther from the hotel, at a very reasonable price. They will even drive you to your car.
Assolutamente si. Il ristorante e' accessibile e inoltre dispone di una toilette per disabili.
Yes, we do have free wi fi in all the rooms.
With kind regards.
