We had read all the lavish reviews and were excited! Truly near nothing else, not one light out there anywhere. Great if weather good. Nowhere to go, fogged in, nothing to see. We were the only guests. Manager locked us in at night and went back to civilization, leaving us in our hobbit room until morning. Crabby and unfriendly cook...

We stayed here one night as a group of ten on our way to Crit. The hospitality was kind friendly and generous. The rooms absolutely gorgeous and as for the bathrooms well ok you had to watch your head on the slopping ceiling but nothing beats a steaming hot bath gazing out as the clouds come down. We went for...

Unfortunately for me it was very misty and foggy during my stay so i did not get to see any of the views. But the next day it was snowing which was really exciting and beautiful. It is a bit of a trek to get there over bumpy gravel roads. It feels very simple and traditional yet modern as well....

We spent 2 lovely nights here at the start of our tour. The Inn is 40 mins from Bran, at the top of a hill, up a steep unpaved road so is not the easiest place to get to, but it is well worth it. Our group of 6 were the only guests there and it was great to have...

The Inn was a quick stopover en route further north. I wasn't really expecting much and I hadn't done my research on Trip Advisor! The word 'Inn' conjures up an image of a roadside establishment full of tour buses. Well I was in for a big surprise. First the access is not easy so you need a 4WD. It is...

360 degree view of national parks and Carpathian Wilderness. Comfortable, warm rooms and a wonderful traditional style. This hotel is an exact model of a Saxon house that still stands in Sibiu Country museum. It's not easy to find. But worth it when you do!

Just got back from a fantastic weekend stay at the Inn on Balaban. It is a bit out of the way - but one of the staff came to meet us. You will need snow tyres (minimum) or chains to drive up there in the winter, but it was so worth it! The Inn is modern, clean and warm, and...

The Inn on Balaban is not very easy to find but once you are there, you will not want to leave this place anymore. You access through a path which is isolated and discover beautiful houses. In the main one, you have 6 rooms and the common spaces where you have dinner and breakfast. Petruta will take care of you...

Found this place through an exceptional travel agent when I requested somewhere I could get away to commune with nature and self reflect. The accomodation is modern and traditional and the views of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. The two ladies who look after the place are incredibly hospitable and the food was delicious - personal favourites were the pancakes...
