I looked at the add and it bares no resemblanceto the hotel. Three different views of the swimming pool that does not exist. The swimming pool at ground level belongs to the nice hotel next door. Toilet black in the bottom and l had to buy my own bleach to clean it. Shower head hanging loose. Cleaners are Egyption and have no English or French. No utensils or kettles. Patio doors didnt fit. Noise from the several building sites within feet of the hotel is unreal. Wall light didnt work. Large holes in door where the lock used to be allowing anyone to look in. Perverts paradise. We felt very uneasy. WIFI useless and we were told to use the bar, what a dirty dump. Despite their religion the Manager and a host of men drank whisky long into the night. You cannot walk out in the dark because there are no street lights and the block paving is damaged, missing and dangerous. The breakfast is disgusting. The foo had been out for ages and the bacon and eggs were cold and in solidified grease. The old Englishman in his fedora told us that if we had asked, the “Dad” would have cooked it fresh, l ask you. Wiring is hanging throughout the passageways and hall which is very concerning. I do not know how this hovel has anything over a “1” certainly not a “6”. They also use photos for the dining room from a different hotel. This is a dark and dingy workers squat. Do not, do not bring your children here l feel so uneasy. We didn’t stay the 4 nights and there were no questions when we left.…
unluckily for us we managed somehow to book through Jumbo , when our agent stated that we booked through another company. Now about Qawra Point , good points zero. bad points if you like laying in bed at night and listening to other customers urinating , to having a filthy and dank apartment, to have two little rings for self catering, to having stained ceilings , it was even shown on there site as being like Qawra Palace hotel. we stayed two nights and then booked out and the hotel did not even ask us why, I do not blame the hotel it is for workers , I completely Blame Jumbo Accomodation in Malta, I have all the photos of the stained headboards and stained fueniture and the hole in the floor tiles, please dont stayu there unless you are desperate
Sound, no-frills and very good value for money. Having a budget we booked for two weeks "room only basis" and were not disappointed. The hotel doesn't presume to be anything more than it is. If you want good beds, clean bedding, plenty of hot water, towels, a great location and very helpful and attentive staff then you will find it here. We had two double rooms, a bath and shower, a kitchenette with hot plates, fridge/freezer and adequate crockery/cutlery for even modest self-catering. OK, the decor and furniture is somewhat tired and dated but the place has a busy crew of room cleaners that we saw most days. The breakfast (E5 pp) was tried on Day 1 and was bland. There was a small balcony with an unfortunate view of building construction. The room had a heater and television with a poor selection of channels. On a wider note, travel on the roads is a nightmare at any time. A weekly bus ticket costs E21 each. Little Malta is clogged and its buses full. We found some sunshine and overall enjoyed our fortnight. Grand Harbour remains majestic as ever and is always worth viewing. But Malta has changed and not for the better. Our flights and fortnight room-only deal gave us change from £400 so we were able to eat out well without any problems. The hotel complex is low-budget but excellent value for money within that range. If we returned to Malta one day would we use Qawra Point? - yes, assuredly. The question for us, sadly, is whether we shall ever want to return to Malta again.…
Booked this last minute and it was not cheap. Booked through Mercury as Chevron had no availability. Very convenient for sea, aquarium, bus, shops, pubs and my friends who live in Qawra. The staff or owners were fantastic. Nothing they would not do. Cleaned daily if you wanted. I had a double room with balcony which had sun all day. Other side of bathroom was kitchen/living room with table and chairs and also two single beds. Think I was paying rate for four. Would be interested to see if any improvements this year. If you are only staying a night it's on a par with a lot of Maltese hotels. Needs love and care
Having read the reviews on here after booking i was prepared for the worst. However we were greeted with a friendly receptionist and headed to our room. If you want the Radisson Blu and have booked here expect to be disapointed. Yes it could do with a good scrub and updating, but you pay for what you get. A bed for the night & hot water for a shower. The heating is via the aircon so you need to ask for a remote and blankets are available on request. Location is pretty good.
