The hotel is fairly basic but clean and tidy and certainly very good value for money. Three of us shared a room and it didn't feel too crowded although the shower was awful. I don't know if that was a temporary issue or permanent but it was a pain. There is no swimming pool but the spa area was good...

The film The Shining comes to my mind but even the hotel in the film was significantly better. No service, awful food no ambience. Forget about skiing in skiing out. We were a group of 12 in Jan 2015.... The only people in the hotel!!!! One wonders why

ROOMS: We had a family room on the 4th floor. It had two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom had a firm double bed and the other two separate firm single beds. Both rooms had access to the balcony. The balcony doors would have been nice to keep open (to get some fresh air) but because of other guests...

The hotel is nice, food great, and ski slopes are near by.. We can recommend this hotel, and would be happy to stay again. The spa area was a nice end of long days in the slopes. The staff was really friendly and welcoming.

The Hotel is situated at the far end of the Staffal Ski station area in a nice setting. However one of our main reasons for selecting this hotel was convenience for skiing BUT it is a good walk in ski boots to the actual lifts both to begin the day and up hill at the end of the day. The...

Let's start with the positive: The location is great, and it's nice to change into ski gear in the basement having your own locker. It's not a ski in-out hotel as you need to walk a few hundred meters but that's OK so long as you don't market yourself as ski in/ski out. As for staff, we were always greeted...

Hotel Monboso was a great location for our ski week. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent, with high quality food, plenty of choice and never ending servings and for the numbers they catered for I cannot imagine it being better. I agree with others who say the rooms are not 4* and the beds weren't all that comfortable but...

An imposing large building the Monbosa is the last hotel in the Lys valley and about 10 minutes on bus above Gressoney La Trinite and 20 minutes above Gressoney St Jean. At 1800 metres altitude and 100 metres or so from the two lifts out of Stafal it is easy to get onto good snow particularly in the Champoluc direction...

Spent half term week at Monboso. It is a large hotel with pros and cons. As others also experienced, we had 130+ school kids at the hotel the same time as us. They were well behaved, but that number of teenagers is always going to have an impact. The kids could be noisy, they took over the common areas, and...
