We loved this wonderful, off-the-beaten path B&B. The property is charming but the pièce de résistance is the fabulous sculptural art throughout the property and within the main community spaces. this is a must see and stay Inn.

I cannot say enough about this place. My husband and I spent a week of our honeymoon there and all these years later it remains top of our list of all the places we have traveled to. The hotel is on a knoll overlooking the walled city. The rooms was unique built on an Etruscan wall. The artwork was fabulous...

Wonderful and unique, family run B&B in the hills in Tuscany. Great hospitality from Biagio the proud owner, good communication thru WhatsApp with Francesca, his daughter and amazing artwork throughout the property and in the rooms from Anna his wife. We talked to Biagio about his wife's art and she is a well-known artist throughout italy. When we were in...

We recently spent a fabulous week at The Residenza d'Arte in Torrita di Siena - located just outside of the medieval town. The hotel is ideally situated to explore the area or in our case to attend the Blues Music Festival. But this is no normal hotel! It combines a magnificently restored historic building with an amazing art gallery of...

The best part of this hotel is its manager, Luca, who worked very hard to facilitate our trip - we are very grateful for his extensive and knowledgeable advice about villages and attractions in the area to explore, which really made the difference for our trip. The breakfasts are a nice start to the day, general continental style with some...

I stayed her with my family in August, 2015. The property is near to the small village of Torrita di Siena but remote enough that you feel it is the countryside. The property is well maintained with an eclectic selection of art throughout. Not my taste, but it is obvious that someone has put a lot of care and attention...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Residenza d'Arte is a charming 14th century village in stone, an historical dwelling unique in the world that rises majestically on a splendid hill with stunning panoramic view, surrounded by cypresses and age-old olive trees. The Residenza is situated in the medieval town of Torrita di Siena, a few kilometers from Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, and Cortona. As soon as you cross the gate of this historic dwelling, you will join in an artistic and poetic experience where nature and contemporary art are in harmony, so the Residenza d'Arte is a unique place to stay. The reception desk is in a large and pleasant hall where ancient beams and stone walls vibrate in a chromatic moving dance together with a collection of paintings, sculptures, and design artworks. The entire village is wrapped in a magic atmosphere, from rooms to the surrounding park. The project to create an unique Gallery Hotel in the world as the Residenza d'Arte starts from an idea of the artist Anna Izzo, sculptress, painter and interior designer known all over the world. ... more   less
