My husband and I stayed at this La Quinta on our way to and back from Charleston, SC. It is obviously in the middle of being renovated. It is dismal, dirty and smelly. It should be closed until renovation is finished, which when I asked staff, was told that would not happen, even though they breath in dust particles and...

Needed to stay overnight. All other hotels were booked. The hotel is under renovation. The hallways were cold & looked to have just Sheetrock & plaster up. The rooms have mast tape & ink written on for the room numbers. Once inside of the room, it was clean, bed was too soft but okay. Has a microwave & flat screen...

My husband and I stayed on first floor there on February 1. Complaints: very noisy fan in a/c that goes off and on intermittently every few minutes during the night. From 130am to 330am we were awakened by constant footsteps and radio/tv voices from above. I was told the next morning that it must have been maintenance man working on...

Hotel was under renovation and new management. Needs renovation. Our toilet was set on a plywood box, it was up so high my feet didn't touch the floor. Most ridiculous thing I ever saw. Corporate should send someone out to check this place out. On a positive note, the staff was all very friendly.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The door at the end of the hotel that is supposed to be locked, with key card access only, did not lock. I like La Quinta Hotels. La Quinta Inn Richmond South not so much. Don't get me wrong the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel just looked beat-up. The hall ways were not cleaned the way I would have cleaned them. They looked shoddy. I realize that the hotel is being worked on, but that's no excuse...

We have stayed at La Quinta before, but this location is in desperate need of repair and updating (which it looks like they are in the process of doing).
