Great room, great hosts, (especially the owners daughter), great choice for breakfast. Loved the pictures in the corridors and the fish art made of wood and painted in the bedroom. My room overlooked the bar so very noisy both evening and morning. Good parking outside hotel.
Great riding across the island to this nice hotel for a couple of days. The hosts Tomaso and Franca were very nice. easy parking right outside hotel. good beach, nice area, interesting shops too. Good breakfast. Rated...
The breakfast was fabulous with a great variety of things to eat. It started at 7 which was a half hour earlier than other hotels we stayed at and we were able to eat before leaving the hotel. It is a 10 minute walk to the Port Santa Teresa Gallura where you can catch a ferry to Bonifacio France. The room was clean, there was air conditioning in the room but we didn’t need it. Shower and sink soap and towels were provided. There was a bidet and one outlet in our room that allowed a US adapter to plug in. I could hear people in the hallway talking through my door so the door wasn’t solid enough to block the noise. Maybe if I had turned the A/C on that would have blocked out noise from the hall. There is a restaurant next door that opens early in the morning till late at night but I didn’t hear any noise from it. In October the street was quiet. The parking is on the street so if you arrive late in the day you will need to walk a little.…
I will say only one word: magnificent place to stay for your holiday. We really enjoyed stay in hotel. Everything was perfect: room, parking, kindness of people, cleanless. Tomasso was amazing host. All recomendation from myself.
Very much recommend! The people who run this hotel are very kind and helpful. The room, bed, breakfast and location were great too. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Do make sure you book at the right hotel. There is another Canne al Vento,on Sardinia, in Galtellì. The offer on Booking.com via TripAdvisor first led us to the wrong hotel.
We have just spent a wonderful week with Tommaso and Susanna at The Canne al Vento. They were such kind hosts and we found the hotel perfect for our needs, comfortable, spotlessly clean and close to everything. We also enjoyed a hugely varied delicious breakfast every day which was included in our room rate. We walked or took a short bus ride to different beaches every day and really loved Santa Teresa which is still a very authentic Italian holiday town with few foreign visitors.
The hosts Tomaso and Franca were warm, friendly and super helpful. The hotel, spotless clean with old world charm, is conveniently located across from a supermarket and a few minute walk into the old town. The breakfast with table service was amazing.
This friendly place is warmly recommended. Tomas (owner) and his sister Franca are very hospitable and kind people. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is seriously one of the best I've ever had. It's massive and delicious and will fill you up for the rest of the day. Conveniently, there's a supermarket on the other side of the road. As this place is not on online sites (booking.com etc.) as far as I know, call them or - as I did - just walk in. Again - warmly recommended!
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The hosts made us feel like we were at home, welcoming us each time we walked in (and even remembered our names). The breakfast was amazing! It is prepared fresh every morning, and was definitely a highlight of our day. Fresh fruit, amazing pastries, cheeses, fresh-cooked sausages and eggs… we were presented with more than we could eat every morning. The entire experience was warm, friendly and inviting. The room was wonderful, with a balcony overlooking the street. It was noisy at times (we were there during the height of tourist season), but definitely manageable. The location was great… right in the middle of town and walking distance to the beach, the town piazza, and countless restaurants and shops.
Fantastic and enormous breakfast served in a lounge / dining area which was decorated in a very individual style by the host. It was not a hotel for those in search of a chic stylish modern boutique look but great if you liked a fun, homely, cluttered and characterful place to dine. Very friendly host. We had a bedroom facing east away from the main road, traffic noise could be an issue on the other side as the hotel was on the main road through the town.
