We stayed at Forte Village as part of a company vacation. My partner and I got a room which was separated from our neighbors room only by a paper thin wall. We could, very clearly , hear our neighbors opening and closing doors in their room as well as their conversations ( while they were talking in a normal voice). They, of course, could hear us as well, so we had absolutely no privacy. It felt like we shared a room with them and it was very uncomfortable , to say the least. We turned to the reception to try and solve this issue, but encontered total indifference to our situation on their part. The receptionists insisted that there was nothing they can do and implied over and over that the reason we hear our neighbors is because they talk to loudly (which wan't true). They also suggested that we ask our neighbors to be more quiet, which is absolutely absurd suggestion as they weren't being loud at any point. As a result, we tried to stay as little as possible in our room. It was very uncomfortable and difficult experience. I've never in my life experienced such indifference and disregard from hotel / resort workers before. I most definitely WOULD NOT go back to Forte Village and will encourage everyone I know to do so as well. In my opinion , a resort with such poor and soulless service doesn't deserves good costumers.…
I just check out from this lovely resort. It was a great stay. Lovely stuff. Great service and available for any request we had.Great breakfast and food. I highly recommend. I will definitely comeback.
We heard a lot about the splendor of Forte Village and was very excited about finally coming here with the kids and breaking our annual routine of winter sun in the Middle East. First impressions were really positive as we were upgraded to two adjoining rooms at the 5* Villa Del Parco. The quality and decor of the room was faultless and the apartment itself is hidden away so you have privacy. Of the numerous hotels available at Forte I think VdP is one of if not the best. Foodwise we were on halfboard and tried the buffet at Pineta and Cavalieri which were fantastic. The Mediterranean seafood salad were absolutely delicious. Forte Grill was ok but for a specialised steak restaurant on the resort. I expected better quality but maybe because we are so used to the exquisite standard in Dubai when we make our comparisons. Children activities are plentiful and is what Forte is all about. Kids will not get bored here especially the sporty ones but it all comes at a steep price. So is it all positive? Not quite. There’s a few noticeable things that Forte and VdP can definitely improve upon if you are comparing this luxury resort and the price you are paying vs. other alternatives across the world. - Restaurants - the resort advertises 21 restaurants but in reality only a small number is included in the halfboard so the others all require a supplement. Worst still as we travelled at the beginning of Sept half of the 5 restaurants available to us were closed within 2 days upon arrival. Something to consider if you’re travelling outside or close to the end of the public holiday schedule. - As above any lunchtime food or something to eat after 3pm is extremely limited . Theres a snackbar with about 4 things and room service. Outside of this there is nothing which for a 5* resort is shockingly limited. - Private breakfast - guests of VdP are able to have breakfast on the garden balcony area but we were not informed of this from the concierge / private butler. - Inaccurate / Incomplete information - we were not informed that some of the restaurants were closed early or there was a change in the kids disco which was frustrating. All of the hotels seems to be a bit disconnected with the general information on the resort including wifi access which we found out about on tripadvisor! - Mealtimes for kids - dinner at restaurants open between 19:30- 20:00 so extremely late for the small ones. Although they have a kids restaurant available for an hour from 6-7 this gets extremely busy during peak season. - General service / facilities for young children - despite priding itself as a family resort there were surprisingly a lack of children friendly services available at Forte and in some of the hotels. One evening at Hotel Castello, my 18 month son was not well and i was directed by multiple staff to a gents toilet to change my babies nappy and when questioned about the available facilities the nearest changing room required a buggy or 10minute walk. Ultimately they had to provide a room for me but safe to say i wasnt pleased with the service of the staff or at the hotel. Another point worth mentioning is a lack of children friendly equipment / utensils at the restaurants. There are no plastic or smaller knifes / forks / spoons available for kids and the tumblers were glass only. Overall my kids (3 years old and 18 months) had a nice time at Forte, the beach and the water is beautiful and is synonymous with south Sardinia. Is Forte Village the best family resort in the world? Not even close. It is a nice resort with a extensive history but given the competitive nature of other resorts in the middle east and asia there are a significant number of improvements required. For the price you are looking to pay for 2 rooms at VdP it just cannot compete with the luxury hotels/resorts of Dubai. We might go back somepoint in the future and hopefully a lot of the above would have been addressed but for now safe to say we will not be deviating from our annual travel to the UAE.…
An excellent experiance. Fantastic food and beverage, great services all along our stay. The Termae del Parco is a unique place, we have never seen at no other place during all of our travells world wide.
The staff was very nice and it all was exactly like in the pictures. I totally recommend it to all my friends. The view is nice and you are really close to all the points of interest if you stay at this place.
