We had booked a Friday and Saturday night. After payment this was conformed by booking.com. On the Thursday we received an email, which we read on Friday. In the mail Antonella informed us that she made a mistake and had planned out stay on Thursday and Friday. She would provide a solution for the Saturday night. When we got to L'Aglientu we had mixed feelings: we were happy with the Agriturismo, which we had booked and paid for, but unhappy about the fact that we could only stay one night and had to pack our bags and move again the following morning. The accomodation of L'Aglientu is nice, the rooms are large, the airco works well and the rooms are nicely decorated. The pool is very small and there were only 4 beds to lie on. Not enough for an 8 room accomodation. Breakfast was fine. For our second night we were offered a room in Antonella's new B&B in Olbia city. A nice room in a nice house in a nice city. The big mistake is that when the house was renovated and turned into a B&B, the guest rooms were not equipped with airco. The heat in our room was unbearable and we didn't sleep at all. There was a ceiling fan throwing hot air around, which does nothing for your comfort if it is far too hot. By the time it was cool outside we opened the windows, but there is a lot of noise from the streets. We had breakfast at 7 AM in the kitchen downstairs, which was much cooler than the bedroom. The thermometer on the kitchen wall read 30 degrees, at 7 AM! Looking at the house when we got into the car, we spotted 1 airco unit, fitted to the wall of the room where Antonella's family sleep. So our room was nice but far too hot. The bathroom was also nice but there was no hot water. We took a cold shower in the evening, and another cold shower at 6h30 AM, to cool off because the room was so hot. We asked Antonella for some compensation for the fact that we had to move, but there was no such thing, she told us the city B&B was more expensive....... Altogether not the way one would like to spend the last night of one's holiday.

Dear Guests, we apologize again for the inconvenience that has been caused to you, however we feel sure that we have solved the problem in an absolutely impeccable way, considering that we have hosted you for the last night of your stay in a beautiful historic building, recently renovated, located in the center of the city of Olbia, in a wonderful room furnished with antique furniture, and accompanying you personally, as special guests, and offering you a welcome drink as is appropriate in the best families. Not only we offered you a refreshing drink, but you demanded some fresh white wine, and kindly we provided you with a whole bottle, which you enjoyed and drank to the last drop, sitting cool in the beautiful garden of the house, which was at your disposal. Unfortunately, in your review, you did not mention this detail, nor the beauty and scents of the Mediterranean plants that surrounded you, concentrated as you were looking for something negative to write on Tripadvisor, nor did you mention the excellent breakfast that was served to you early in the morning before your departure, which was not expected considering our timetable. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to respond to your spiteful statements, and in this regard I take this opportunity to point out that in the main facades of the old buildings in the historic centre cities is not allowed to apply the air conditioners, that is why we installed the ceiling fans, which however work very well. As evidenced by the photo you posted, it was possible to install an air conditioner in the only room that overlooks the inner courtyard, and also, no disturbing noise may have arrived from the open window, for the simple reason that the street on which your room overlooks it is never busy except by very few residents. Rather, I would be strongly tempted to publish the photos (which I retain, in case) of the awful conditions in which you left your accommodation, which is certainly not expected of mature people like you, especially if coming from a civilized country such as Holland. Waste and food scattered everywhere, my precious linen bedspread thrown on the floor together with the cushions, shoes footprints on the walls and even on the new flaming mattress, the towels thrown on the ground trampled with shoes, not to mention the toilet, which you have left full and dirty of your excrement without even bothering to pull the water, the bathroom window unhinged. In short, you have left your mark, and that is why the next day we have reported you as unwanted guests on Booking.com, since fortunately, nowadays you can also review the bad behavior of the guests, and I must say that you have greatly deserved this , because respect and civilization are another thing. Best regards

Antonella owner of L'Aglientu B&B was a wonderful host. We only stayed here one night on the last day of our trip in Sardinia. It is very close to the airport but you are in the countryside. We wish we had booked it for a longer stay. It is very clean and charming. The cottage is spacious with a small kitchen and large bathroom. The gardens are very pretty and the mountains adjacent to the B&B are spectacular. Having a nice breakfast in the morning was a treat. Thank you Antonella for making our trip special. We will be back. Salvatore Rombi & Kathy Baker/ California.

We started our honeymoon with two nights here and it was simply bliss! It's an easy drive from Olbia airport and you're really out in the country with splendid views. The accomadation is clean, airy and the perfect place to just get away from the rat race. Breakfast is nice and relaxing and you have a good choice of beaches that are in easy reach, as is Olbia if you want to get into town. Well recommended.

We started our Sardinia trip by staying in Antonella's beautiful B&B. It's a very warm and welcoming place, the flats are perfect, comfortable and all the necessary facilities were provided. We had delicious homemade breakfast and a great host. Antonella is so helpful and caring. We enjoyed our stay and felt bad leaving after only 2 days. But it's definitely a place we'll come back to.

My daughter (8.5yrs old) and I just returned home from spending 10 nights at L'Aglientu in Sardinia. What a wonderful place! We felt very at home very quickly, and were comfortable and happy for the duration of our stay. Antonella, our host, was extremely friendly and helpful, our accommodation was great (very large main room with double bed, table and chairs, a/c, a small kitchenette and a spacious shower room, veranda with table and chairs/recliners), and breakfast was delicious (selection of home-baked pastries/cakes, bread, cereals, cheese, fruit and more). We did need to have a car, but it was reasonably cheap to hire, and it meant that we could travel all over the north of the island with ease (roads are virtually traffic free - but signposting isn't always great!). Beautiful beaches are close-by and easy to get to (about 10/15 mins drive). Waking up in such stunning surroundings brought a smile to our faces every day. All in all a relaxing and extremely successful stay! Thank you Antonella and Guido (for helping me with a little car confusion!) for a wonderful 10 days at L'Aglientu. We returned to busy London feeling rested and very happy that we went to Sardinia! We will definitely spread the word about your wonderful B&B!
