Booked this for last night of a special 40th birthday trip based on a recommendation but were really disappointed. We knew the room may not have the best view at time of booking but did not expect such a low standard of accommodation. We also hoped they might acknowledge the fact it was a birthday and make a small token effort but unfortunately not. Everything was very clean and location is lovely but the room and especially bathroom are extremely basic and dated - straight out of the 70s! The tiny bathroom with ancient plumbing also smelt overpoweringly of toilet duck, making us both feel very nauseous. We were horrified that both sockets came fully out the wall exposing all the wires when we tried to plug in a phone charger - so dangerous!!!! The restaurant came highly recommended in reviews but the food was very average compared to all the meals we had during rest of our trip and sadly not the lovely last meal we hoped for. The breakfast was limited in choice but ok. The best part was the friendly waiter and good service. Overall, great location and views and so much potential but in dire need of an upgrade on rooms and food. …
Our first night in Sardinia we stayed here. The only issue we had but due to the heatwave was no A/C. Not the problem of the hotel, but should be noted. (though we were brought another fan and survived the night) A very basic but clean room with an incredible view. The staff was very nice & the restaurant is quite nice and romantic though we didn't dine there. There were plenty of guests dining in the beautiful ambience and all looked to be enjoying.
We had the pleasure to visit this amazing restaurant again this July.I simply cannot fault this place. The staff are the friendliest people I have ever come across...the setting and location with the most stunning views imaginable...not to mention the amazing local freshly cooked food..some were specially made to order at our own requests. Also locally produced wines. To top it all the prices in comparison to other restaurants are very good. This simply is the best restaurant my family have visited anywhere in the world!
We went to sa lumenera for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the view from the terrace. The food however was disappointing to say the least. The bread served seemed to be from the previous day. The pasta dishes were boring and not worth the relatively high price compared to other Sardinian restaurants. We ordered the housewine which turned out to be a terrible mistake. We really did not have the highest expectations but this dinner was unfortunately the worst we had during our vacation. We cannot judge the quality of the hotel as we only came here for dinner.
Lot of hoteliers should learn from the landlord. It was beautiful time. Kind and helpful people, clean and modern rooms, really nice breakfasts and dinners. We spent here beautiful 7 days... Grazie, Salvatore!!!
