Great service, the staff at front desk was really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, pretty, quite, and nice. Large rooms. The restaurant did nott fill Our expectations, the food and service in the restaurant was not good.

We stayed here rather than a newer and fancier hotel in the area, primarily because of location plus some fond memories from 50 years ago. The Sheraton is an older hotel (built in the 1920s on the site of where George Washington took command of the American Army). When it opened, it was billed as a palatial and elegant hotel-apartment....

Stayed there while on an executive course at Harvard. Rooms are fairly large, very comfortable beds. Decor is a bit dated and would need more light in the room especially when one needs to study. However. The service is outstanding, the food at Nubar is great and there again the service is superb. Best omelette station ever ! Friendly and...

When checking in for our recent stay, we were upgraded to the club level thanks to our SPG Gold status. Room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Bathroom, while clean, was REALLY small, no doubt due to constraints of the old building structure. I don't need big, but room to turn around would be appreciated. Club lounge breakfast spread was really...

The hotel is on Cambridge commons and a 10 minute walk to Out of Town News, the T, or Johnson Gate at Harvard Yard. Commander is a classic Boston hotel and it has an elegant Yankee old-money charm to it. The rooms are small but have been recently renovated apparently. The bed was very comfortable. For dining options, Harvard Square...

I stayed at the Sheraton Commander during a trip to Harvard for business. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was very nice. Contrary to the menu in the room, the only choice for breakfast was the buffet at $19+. The hostess was nice enough to offer me a reduced price buffet because I just don't eat...

An Elegant and classy hotel so close to Harvard Square and some amazing spots in Cambridge like, a 450 years old church and a George Washington battle field across the road from the hotel. Very friendly staff and amazing Club Lounge. Recommended for business and vacation trips.

The Sheraton Commander has been around forever, but they have tried their best to update this venerable hotel to keep it as current as possible. Because it is old, you need to make certain accommodations, yet the place is well worth considering if you need to be near Harvard. Beginning with check in, the process was pretty smooth.
