We love having you here at the Hampton Inn Boston/Cambridge hotel in Massachusetts!
The King Room is literally 50 feet from the train tracks. The train runs past the room every 4 minutes. It starts at 6am and stops at midnight. Dogs barking constantly I was robbed by the hotel. I had no idea this was what I was getting. Do not book here. This place needs to be demolished
I was just here 7/9 - 7/11. I bought my Husband tickets to Fenway to see his Phillies play the Redsox and decided to make a weekend of it. The parking is free if you can get it. The parking area is under the building and there are but so many spaces and were told this could be filled and we would have to park across the street for a fee. The hotel is located near a Free Lechmere bus station that takes you to the "T" North Station. There you can purchase a "charliecard" and add fares to travel in their subway system. The hotel provided us with a subway map to help us get around. So we took this to the game and back with no issues. The hotel was clean and provided daily grab and go breakfast which was perfect I felt. This little box consisted of packaged hard boiled eggs, a prepackaged bagel, cream cheese, a small yogurt, and an apple and a container of orange juice. There were plastic utensils and condiments in the package. The only thing to wash here was the fruit. Overall this was a great breakfast for on the go. Our room was close to the elevator so there was some noise as people were coming in and out. The room itself 502 was really nice. Its a city view. There was a building across where we did see people laying in their bed naked. I hope no one could see into our room. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I appreciated the location the most. Although we did have to take public transportation it saved us hundreds we would have had to have paid to park in the city. It was right there and convenient. We used it to go to the ballpark, the Boston Commons and near the Sea Port. Walking and having this experience was amazing. We will definitely do this again and come here.…
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a trouble free stay. I was really impressed with how safe this hotel is; not that it's in a bad area-it isn't. But the hotel takes security seriously, I'm not going to give away the intricacies, but you'll feel safe in this property. The room was good sized, clean and well lit. The staff were awesome, and the breakfast well executed. This property is directly next to public transportation, and an easy drive into Boston proper-we would definitely stay here again.
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Steve A. stuck out to me and he was very knowledgeable about going in to Boston and where to eat and what to see and do around the city. Would 100% stay here again!
Stay clear of room 218. It literally looks out on garbage dumpsters and faces the graffiti covered base of the T. The room shakes and rumbles every time the train goes by. We got a call from staff shortly after arriving to ask if the room was fine. Told her the room is over a garbage dumpster. She said " "Oh." Paused . Then said "Well have a nice stay" and hung up. I kid you not. This at $200 plus a night midweek rate and for an Honors member. Car alarms from cars parked near the dumpster blared in the early morning hours. Bathroom door lock broken. The shades have to be kept drawn. Heating system noisy and functioned poorly. Done with this one.
Arrived late checkin on Dec04. Reception person was very courteous and instructions were clear. Lobby was warm toasty with modern deco. Room size large and very modern ; not too many digital buttons like those in Asia or Eu countries . Breakfast is excellent; loved the waffles and eggs; great coffee and kitchen lady had a warm welcoming smile; didn’t speak but smiled . Linda attended to checkout ; very courteous and was patiently helping me checkout and teaching someone on each step. Would stay at this hotel again.
My girlfriend and I have stayed at this Hotel many times and have always had a good experience. Rooms are clean and comfortable and we love the free parking. The Lechmere subway station is also next to the hotel, but we usually walk into boston (about 15 minutes). The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
This location is great. You are close to activities in Cambridge area, Fenway and to go downtown. You save staying here with parking included and breakfast included, so you can spend a couple bucks to Uber to your start of your day (downtown etc) or continue saving with transit at your door step. Breakfast is good with plenty of options. One meat and one hot entree as well as waffles. Always cereals and yogurt, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit, juice. I’ve stayed downtown and would continue to do this location for the above reasons. It’s also a lot quieter and you don’t have the city noise at night. It was nice to leave the city behind and come to Cambridge to sleep. Dunkin’ is across the street. Little secret-there’s a nut factory just up the street, same side. Go in the front door to the right. They sell their product! Amazing all kinds of nuts, mixed nuts, flavoured etc. neat little find! (Superior nut company) We were on then4th floor in a two queen room. It was clean and comfortable. Seemed updated. Spacious not crammed small like a lot of the downtown rooms you’d find lacking space. No complaints. Staff were great and friendly.…
We stayed here on our last night of the trip because it was a great location and one of the more affordable hotels in Boston. There's a T station right next door to hop on the trains to go explore the city. The parking was a little tricky, especially trying to check in before having access to the garage. The lobby was a little under construction so not all of amenities were available. The rooms were recently renovated and they look great. We prefer Hamptons to Hilton Gardens so this was a solid choice.
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. During breakfast everything was replaced quickly when it ran out. Many choices of food available. Clean. Friendly. Walking distance to museum of science and other activities.
