My husband and I had a very nice stay at this hotel. Our bed and room was comfortable and our evening was very peaceful. Upon arriving we were greeted at the front desk by Maria. She was very helpful and made sure to inform us what to expect during our stay. she also made us aware of where to park and gave us suggestions on nearby restaurants after we told her we were in the mood for Japanese or Thai. Her recommendation was excellent. in the evening we had dinner at the hotel and drinks. Alex, the bartender was very helpful and friendly. His recommendation for drinks was helpful and he made it possible for us to enjoy our evening even more. I highly recommend this hotel and staff.
My wife and I met our daughter, son-in-law and our 2 grandchildren (1 and 2 years old) at LeMeridien Cambridge for a weekend mini-vacation. First off, the hotel was able to provide early check-in for my daughter so the kids could nap (she thought they'd have to nap in the car), which was much appreciated. We had adjoining rooms, which was great, and found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and inviting. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and couldn't have asked for more friendly and pleasant staff. The manager, Victor, and our server, Almaz, were incredible and went above and beyond expectation to make our breakfast enjoyable. Their outstanding customer service is a credit to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.
This hotel is very clean and updated. Convenient MIT location. The staff were great starting with Frank at the front desk. He was so pleasant and helpful. The restaurant staff were also great. Steve, the mgr. and his team did a fantastic job accommodating my daughter with food allergies. They made a special breakfast for her since she couldn't have the stuff from the buffet. I didn't like the 48.00 parking fee that was validated by the hotel. Apparently, if you lose your parking ticket, you pay 40.00 so not sure why the hotel charges 48.00. Also the parking expires when you check out so it's not like a 24hr period. We had to pay extra since we got our car a couple of hrs after check out. We will definitely stay there again but maybe not validate the parking ticket.
Le Méridien touts itself as putting "European glamor" back into staying in a hotel. The only thing European about it is the fake French name and that they offer you a glass of prosecco when you check in. Somewhere there's written in their guest literature that if a guest doesn't want prosecco they'll be offered a sorbet, but no one seemed to know anything about that (I don't drink alcohol). So, I was offered a cheap plastic bottle of water (why not a nice glass bottle of "European" sparkling or mineral water?) They also offer a free cappuccino every morning between 6:30am and 10:30am, but every morning when I went down to the lobby and asked for one, they said to go to the bar. However, there was never anyone staffing the bar at that time of day, so that was also a lost cause. For a place that promotes itself as "European" and "glamorous", Le Méridien falls far short. It's a faux European boutique sheen placed over a run-of-the-mill urban hotel trying to be something that it's not.…
Le Méridien is a very nice hotel - the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast twice with blueberry waffles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was also within very close walking distance to Toscanini’s ice cream and a few restaurants which was great.
Superb location - 5 mins walk to MBTA / T stop 20 mins walk to Harvard Square., less to Charles River Many restaurants and bars on the doorstep Very clean, Spacious, modern room with all amenities Excellent food and bar selections
We've been staying at the Le Meridien since 2019 since our daughter was admitted at MIT. We researched all the nearby nicer properties with the bustling Marriott at Kendall, the historic Kendall hotel, the Hyatt Cambridge under renovation, etc. and liked Le Meridien the best! Ever since we've been staying here several days at a stretch for every MIT event since 2019, with CPW, admit week, parents weekend, moving in during Covid, my daughter's birthdays, my business trips to Boston and each time its just wow! Look nowhere else if you need to be in the Cambridge area. What makes this hotel ideal for us is the excellent staff and its facilities, they are all so welcoming, warm, always accommodating all the way from the front-desk manager Shashana a wonderful person, the restaurant breakfast staff making us the best omlettes and vegetable plates, the bartender with a nice relaxing bar to unwind, the well equipped gym room, and the spacious 2 queen bed suite rooms for my family. It has the best location to everything from MIT to restaurants and is tucked away from the noise. For my daughter's bday last Nov the front-desk arranged for a nice small surprise gift and dessert in my room, made it special for my daughter and thoughtful of them. Overall being a Marriott Gold Elite member, I will continue staying here with its relaxing upscale warm feel making it a home away from home for me and my family. …
Wonderful stay with my daughter! Room was clean and quite. Beds were very comfy. The staff were kind and attentive. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the made to order omelet was the best we’ve ever had!! Just so you know we’ve had a lot of omelets! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay in Boston comfortable.
No parking garage - had to lug luggage from 3 doors down, the hotel is so automated that a little human touch would be welcomed - room was okay - overlooking parking garage - towels were like razor blades - very inactive at night - no food - we arrived late - had to order a $30 pizza - blah!!
my husband and i had a great stay here on our honeymoon! hotel is in a fantastic location - within walking distance of anything you could need in central square, as well as a T station to get around the rest of the city. our room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself is in great condition. the front desk staff and bartenders were kind and helpful. we loved our stay here!
