The hotel was nice and the staff were very polite and helpful, however, we had big problems with the heating in the room, it was constantly cold, after complaining a few times, a guy on the reception managed to fix it and even offer us a different room. We also had to ask for an extra blanket and pillow cases. The spa was a bit of a let down too, staff very nice and polite but the hot tub was cold and when we complained, we were simply told " sorry the Hotel upstairs turned the hot water off yesterday". If they knew that then why allow us to book it?? in the end the hotel turned the hot water on and they allowed us another 15 minutes!

Friendly staff but tired hotel. Bathrooms exceptionally small. Far below an expected level for breakfast. Beds very uncomfortable. Very noisy rooms, wall thickness allows noise through. Wouldn’t recommend it and certainly wouldn’t go again

Stayed 2 nights. We were staying as part of a wedding. It was early september so the pool was still open and the weather was good. most of the lakeside attractions had shut down for winter tho. The hotel was clean and staff were helpful. wifi is only avaliable in the loby/ground level but that didn't cause us a problem. Breakfast was continental, seemed a fair amount of choice and the barista made good coffee. The one dinner we had at the resturant was great. As a base for exploration this is a good place to stay, it's a great location. good if your on a driving tour.

Please be aware that some of the canoes at this beach are dangerous as they have no internal ballast to keep afloat or escape holes for water if capsized and turned manually. Our 12 year old son took canoes out with his friend, who is an experienced canoeist as part of a kayaking club in the UK. The boy said the canoe was unstable from the start and at one point it overturned, filled with water and sank. He had tried the standard procedure of turning the canoe but to no avail. The lifeguard, who had been very vigilant to all on the beach beforehand, didn't seem to notice the serious trouble they were in. However, one of the two brothers who hire out the beach and sports equipment was on a paddle board in the water approx 25 metres away from them and instead of going to help merely shouted at them. When the boys paddled /swam back to shore the two brothers approached me and the mother of my son's friend and demanded that we pay 300 euro as compensation for loss of the canoe. They said the boys had been outside the permitted zone, which wasn't true, as they had merely been told to stay "in sight" and were within the buoys surrounding the area. We refused to pay this (or any) sum, and after some argument they called it a day when we suggested phoning the carabinieri (police).

Stayed here for three nights. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is situated close to the lake and the restaurant is on the shore. The restaurant service is poor and food quality leaves a lot to be desired. Out of a family of four none of us finished our meals as it felt as if it was thrown together. I personally had a seafood pizza and the only seafood on it was calamari. The rooms are smallish with no creature comforts. Bring binoculars for the television. The showers are designed for midgets and don’t even consider dropping the non existent soap as your likely to bump your butt on one side and bang your head on the other. I’d give this place a miss if your budget allows.
