We stayed in Sunrise for the August bank holiday for the second year in a row. It was a perfect stay again. Vera is very easy going and accommodating with checking in and times for breakfast. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, make sure to try some of the home made brown bread! We have already booked in for next year!

We stayed at Sunrise Bed and Breakfast in early July 2019. Vera was very helpful in sharing suggestions on places to visit and contacts to help in getting tours set up around the area. All the B&B spaces were well kept and clean, the bed was one of the most comfortable we slept in the entire trip. We looked forward to her breakfasts everyday! The B&B is conveniently located within walking distance to multiple restaurants, pubs and activities in town. Thank you Vera for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back before too long!

We had a lovely stay at the Sunrise B&B. I was feeling quite home sick before we checked in but being in Vera’s beautiful home made me feel comfortable and secure. Vera was incredibly helpful, made a delicious breakfast in the morning and had everything we needed! We will for sure be back again someday to Vera’s home away from our home.

A lovely experience for my wife and I as we went visiting relatives and family nearby. We were royally received by Vera O'Rourke who could not do enough for us and was constantly checking we were comfortable and had all that we needed. With a specially cooked to order breakfast and super setting with views over Lough Derg, the parish church and Mountshannon village, as well as gorgeous sunshine streaming into the conservatory, we were purring with contentment. Highly recommend this home/B&B

Vera was a super friendly host. We enjoyed the beautiful view on the lake and the cristal clear nightsky. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms are clean and nice. We liked to sit in the cozy living room. The next pub is only 5 minutes to walk. We will visit Vera again if we have the chance to.

This B&B gave us a very homely feeling. The house is very clean, very pretty, the kitchen is gorgeous, and it's located very close to downtown and the pier. Vera is very hospitable, warm and friendly. We loved talking to her and learning about what it is like to live in Ireland. We will definitely be back.

The sunrise B&B has a great location, just a short walk to the marina and boat to Holy Island. Vera was incredibly hospitable and friendly, we even got to meet one of her sons and they treated us like family. She also helped us book a tour to holy island which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were impeccable. Wouldn't change a thing about the whole experience at Mountshannon. Looking forward to coming back!

We have stayed here before, and coming back felt a bit like coming home. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, with a nice extra sitting room for guests that must have been recently renovated, and a spectacular view from the breakfast room. Our hostess Vera is very attentive to her guests' needs and creates a very pleasant atmosphere – and cooks a fantastic breakfast that we had been looking forward to all along. We regret we couldn't stay longer – and will certainly be back!

We visited Sunrise B&B for one night recently as we were visiting someone in the area. Vera was a great host, and clearly has very high standards. We received a warm welcome and Vera showed us to our room and then to a nice sitting room which we were free to use, although it was a flying visit so we didn't use that facility. She asked what we would like for breakfast and gave a huge choice: full Irish, omelettes, French toast or anything else we wanted! Vera also asked what time we would eat and the next morning the breakfast was on the table at that exact time. Very efficient! Lovely breakfast and setup, and great views from the breakfast area out into the country and lake in the background. The bedroom and whole B&B was very clean, bed perfectly made. There was plenty spare pillows and bedding. Sunrise is in a quiet location just outside the village which was perfect for us. Good value B&B and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in the area. We even got a little gift each on departure which was a nice touch!
