You have nice views from the windows, a good location, and amazing breakfast not to be missed and peace and quiet. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, so is the linen, the staff is super hepful... some of the buses stop at the door of the hotel, so if you´re traveling by bus is good to ask in advance...

We were booked here by a travel agent on our self-drive excursion around Iceland. When we pulled up, I immediately noticed that there were multiple buildings to this 'hotel'. When we walked inside, it felt like a school. We had to wait a good while for someone to help us at the desk and when they did they were adequately...

The staff are really nice, the place is clean but it is very dated and the rooms are old dorms so you can imagine the size. Location is great you can walk to skogafoss and to my husbands delight the airplane wreckage from the 70's, or whats left of it, only an 8 minute drive east of here. If you...

We stayed here 2 nights and I have to say that we were not impressed. This is an older building that has seen better times. Shared bathrooms and showers. We were lucky to have a half bath next to our room, which was convenient, but the showers were at the other end of the building. I will say that the...

On a par with many places in the area, the hotel offers a comfortable stay in a functional, but clean room. Note this is a former school and the rooms are student rooms with a bed and a sink. Toilets and showers are shared with other rooms in the corridor.

As far as I understood, there is no specific expectation when coming in an Edda hotel. Rooms were globally poorly furnished, even if the triple room in the secondary building was quite large. Common bathrooms were a bit dirty. Breakfast is not worth its price. The only real advantage of this hotel is its convenient location near to Skogafoss and...

This hotel used to be an old boarding school but it's actually pretty good because the rooms are nice and large and the food is excellent. You do have to share toilet and shower facilities though, but this wasn't a problem when we visited in August. The rooms are simple but clean and the restaurant is in a separate building...

Comfortable beds and a great location. About 5 minutes walk from Skogafoss. This hotel, like all Hotel Edda locations, is located in a school as a temporary hotel. Don't expect normal hotel facilities. We were placed in a room in the building next to the main building. The room was clean and nice but the doors of to enter the...

The rooms are really small and noisy, staying in a room with two people and luggage becomes uncomfortable. Shower was also unpleasant as the water had a funny smell to it; breakfast was not even included in the price. The only great thing is the waterfall being in walking distance
