We stayed here for one night of our 17 day trip in Iceland. We stayed in the historic part of the hotel and our room was lively and super comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and nice. We drove to Grettislaug thermal hot pots which was approximately 20 minutes or so away for a dip but we also hopped in the the...

Ok, the location isn't the greatest but this was a really cool, rustic hotel. We had been in more typically European style (spartan) hotels and this was a perfect respite. The small heated pool was an added bonus. We loved the rooms, the bar area, every aspect of the hotel.

The hotel is in an old charming house and the rooms are rustic but cosy. The breakfast was served in the basement which is filled with things from the past, so you feel like in a museum. The food was plentiful, fresh and tasted good. There is a hot tub in the yard which I didn't have a chance to...

Hotel Tindastoll was one of the more quaint hotels we stayed at during our Iceland trip. We were originally supposed to be staying at the Annex Building, where the rooms recently renovated (so more modern), but as we happened to be the only guests at the hotel that night, we were upgraded to a room at the main building. We...

The hotel is charming. My companion and I liked it here so much we extended our stay another night. The staff is terrific, and I like supporting a woman-owned business. The hotel has an interesting tavern/restaurant and a natural thermal pool. The breakfast food was similar to fare at other hotels but the environment is far more charming. We saw...

Overpriced. Uncomfortable beds. Unpleasant Odor of wet wool in hotel. Young staff were helpful with site attractions. Excellent restaurant nearby. Quaint town. OK decor, but not worth the money. I don't want to say more. Submitted

We stayed at Hotel Tindastoll one of our last nights in Iceland. The hotel was pleasant and obviously homey/lived in. It was a lot different than the other modern hotels we had visited, but definitely worth the stay. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was the best that we had in Iceland. They had a little thermal...

This hotel is the oldest in Iceland and is brimming with character. It's cozy and interesting and has a wonderful hot pot where you can watch the Northern Lights. The staff were super friendly, it was a treat all around!

The previous reviewers were very accurate. This is a beautiful place. Loads of history. We stayed in the attic rooms on the top floor. They were huge with two beds. We did have to lug our luggage up the steep stairs but that was ok. We unpacked everything and re-packed for the rest of our Iceland trip so the large...
