We visited the Northern Light Inn 5 years ago and when we wanted to return to Iceland the first thing we decided is that we must return to this hotel. It was still clean but had lost it's character. It felt more like staying at a Premier Inn or similar hotel chain. My memory was of roaring fires, soft blankets...

Ideal location for access to the Blue Lagoon. The rooms are modern generally and large with very well appointed shower room. The shower room was however cool and did not appear to be heated. Some of the rooms appeared to be not quite finished but they were clean and comfortable. The indoor viewing area for the Northern lights is ideal...

We had a wonderful (even better than expected) stay at the Northern Lights Inn. A member of staff picked us up at Keflavik airport, which was extremely helpful! We were able to check in right away (before heading to the Blue Lagoon. The hotel offers a shuttle, but we opted to walk.) and the lady at the front desk suggested...

We stayed here our last night in Iceland. It was very comfortable and we welcomed the free transfers to the Blue Lagoon and the airport. Comfortable room, with tea/coffee and kettle (always welcome to us Brits!) Dinner was great. Our only criticism would be the breakfast, which was a bit nondescript, with scrambled egg but no other hot food, minimal...

The hotel was amazing with very well presented staff who were really helpful. The hotel is next door to the Blue lagoon, which I would recommend. The breakfast is limited but was still nice. We did eat in the hotel and I had the monkfish, which was fab. They also supply free hot drinks in the lobby and wifi in...

This Inn is only 30 minutes from the airport and has a warm heated viewing tower for watching the northern lights. They also have a romantic honor bar area which was nice and the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows. Please be sure to have a reservation for meals as there is no other place to eat dinner and they...

We stayed here for one night at the end of our tour of Iceland. There is a geothermal power plant nearby which is well lit. About half the lights are turned off at night but it still causes quite a bit of light pollution. The hotel has a good viewing tower which has a glassed in area and a viewing...

Perfect location for a visit to the Blue Lagoon or a last night stay in iceland before heading off to airport. Can't say I've ever had a view of a power station from bedroom and dining room but actually quite amusing...only as it is a green geothermal power plant! The blue lagoon wouldn't be there without it.
