We run a travel company in Iceland spend 3 months a year in the country. This guesthouse was easy to find and just far enough from Reykjavik to be a welcome stop. Nice rooms with a hand basin. Shared toilets and a lovely large walk in shower room. Hot tub outside with very nice views over the bay. Cooking and...

We did not stay at the Guesthouse in the town of Borgarnes. Stayed across the fjord in a lovely cottage, well appointed, on the water, not crowded, beautiful setting. Equipped kitchen (no meals included). (N1 gas station on the Borgarnes side of the bridge does a mean fried chicken dinner...:) Definitely recommend.

We were in room 1 - a lovely double room. The communal area has a small kitchen, sofa, and TV (only one channel works - in Icelandic). The communal area is quite small if 5 adults are trying to use it at the same time (room 2 has room for 3 people). There is also a bathroom including a shower...

Most rewarding hideout at the edge of BorgarFjördr. Great host Margret, unbeatable hot tub on the shores just outside the room, with full moon to light your whisky...!! On top, there is a more than fine restaurant near the small harbour, in all a most pleasant stay.

After flying through the night, it was lovely to find the Kria Guesthouse in Borgarnes, quiet clean rooms right on the water. Borgarnes is a small town, classic Iceland, and friendly people. We stayed at Kria Guesthouse, a two bedroom suite with separate bedrooms and a large shared bathroom. We were fortunate to share with two different couples, both very...

We stopped here on our first night in Iceland, after a long day of travelling with a young baby. We received a warm welcome from the owner who brought us a box of toys and high chair for our baby, and gave us some great tips on where to visit and eat, but then left us to it and didn't...

The guesthouse has 2 rental units with a shared very large bathroom/breakfast area with a couch where you can watch some tv. The breakfast itself was delicious and more than enough. The hottub has a spectacular view on the bay area. Be aware , it is Iceland so it can be windy. Restaurants are closeby but not on walking distance....

Clean, comfortable, wonderful hosts. Only two rooms sharing a very large bathroom. (The rental units are downstairs. The owners live upstairs.) Hot tub available. Located out on a point, you can see the old city center across one bay in one direction and farmland across the bay in the other. The only downside to the location is that the restaurants...
