My girlfriend and i are travelling through iceland on a budget. We had booked a tour in Hussafell, but did not want to stay there the night before because we had just spent 12 hours on a plane and about 7 hours on an airport, we did not know the road conditions and did not want to be 3 hours...

We arrived our first night in Iceland to find they had upgraded us to a larger room with a terrace. It was beautiful! It is located near Borganes on the side of the road in the middle of no where, which is perfect when looking for the lights! We stayed two nights, and the owner was very welcoming. The breakfast...

Basic hotel in a great location. Receptionist was warm, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a twin room which was small but clean and warm. The hotel sits on the waters' edge. There is a hot tub which was a delight after a day of walking. As other people have said, breakfast is great; a good range of fish, meata,...

The best Thing about this Hotel was the possibilty to use the hot tub which was great, The room was okay, very small and underneath the Roof so Standing up was a bit hard at some Corners. Breakfast was great so much to choose from and free coffee/tea all day. Definetlely worth staying there

This is a perfect place to lay your head. Old European charm and close to the city. The employees were very helpful and provided rainy day activities. The breakfast is pretty good too. The views of the mountains and the water are amazing. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing place

We spent 2 weeks in Iceland -and, by far, Hotel Rjukandi was the worst place we stayed. The room was downright depressing: 2 narrow twin beds with soft mattresses and paper thin walls where you can hear every sneeze from the neighboring room....and people walking by and looking in the window on their way to their rooms. Glad it was...

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were very nice. Close to the Settlement Center and the town of Borganes. Beer tasting nearby. A win-win. This is a great location for traveling the ring road or the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

We LOVED the location, our room, the view, the breakfast, the staff, the hot tub.... once we finally found the hotel! They took an old restaurant sign, turned it over and painted Hafnarfjall on the back. When this sign is lit up from the inside at night time, you could not read the sign! Hafnarfjall, please remedy this!

Our room was simple, quiet and clean, with views of the bay. It was good for our one-night stay as we traveled from the Golden Circle sights, onward to the Peninsula. We could easily drive to Borgarnes for dinner. The free breakfast had plenty of good options and the staff was helpful. While it seems like an older hotel, the...

We stayed one night in this guesthouse. It was just by the Ring Road. The setting was like a motel where you can park your car in front of your room. The rooms are clean and basic. In the lobby, you can find the only TV for all the guests. The dinning room is also in the lobby area. They...
