We stayed here with friends for 2 days before our trip to Talkeetna and one day after. The view of Cook Inlet and surrounding mountains would be enough to recommend the place, but the comfort and amenities of the B&B made it perfect. Linda, the owner, is very welcoming and helpful and is full of information about Anchorage and the... More

We stayed in the St. Elias room. It shared a bath, but we had the bath to ourselves. Very clean, all amenities provided, and Linda was friendly (but not too friendly) and helpful. The view from the common room was fantastic. The only disappointment was the uncomfortable mattress.

We stayed here in July and all of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor did not disappoint! We got to the B&B after midnight our first night and were warmly welcomed by Linda whose hospitality was a highlight of our stay. Linda had helpful recommendations and made us feel at home. We stayed in the Redoubt room and later on... More

Staying at Susitna Place was just wonderful from the first moment that we arrived, were welcomed warmly to our suite, to the lovely private courtyard adjacent our suite, to the views of the ocean, Denali (Mr McKinley) and even the aurora borealis one night at 2 am. The breakfasts in the shared breakfast room were yummy, and everything was perfect... More

I picked this B&B because I did not want to stay in a generic hotel for my first visit to Alaska. The choice I made was influenced by Tripadvisor reviews and the location - I was not to be disappointed! Linda was very friendly and helpful already when making the reservation and I found her and her husband David to... More

We made the right choice picking this place; a spacious up-market B & B rather than an hotel but paying through the nose for one of the larger chain hotels in Anchorage is wasteful. We had the Denali room which was huge with a large verandah, and a view of Mount McKinley (possibly a handful of times a year, weather... More

This was our favorite lodging during our 16 night trip to Alaska. We can’t figure out why this isn’t ranked higher on Trip Advisor. The house is beautiful, with a spectacular view of the Cook Inlet and Mt. Susitna, and is within easy walking distance of the main parts of Anchorage. We stayed in the Susitna Suite, which had a... Fabulous!!! Waited up for us due to our plane getting in late. Very clean and roomy, no problem sharing a bathroom!! Friendly and beautiful view, good breakfast variety of foods, healthy and tasty. Due to problems with our rental car, was very accommodating while we waited for the driver to show up.

We stayed at Susitna at the beginning and end of a trip to Denali. Linda and her husband who run the B&B were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations for how to best spend our time in Anchorage. The B&B resides on the northwestern end of Anchorage with spectacular views of the water and mountains in the distance. While being... More

We stayed at the Susitna Place at the front and back end of a guided hiking trip into Denali National Park. Linda made us feel at home, helped us with advice about restaurants and sights, assisted us with our logistics for our trip, and overall just made our trip much more enjoyable. The room was very comfortable, clean, well appointed,... More
